Biases? I just happen to think he is greatly overrated, that's all. Quite simple, really. It's not psychology 101. I don't know why people take it so personally.

Why, its because Melo is a terribly underrated player. No one is taking it personally they just don't understand why you view him that way.

I guees they just wanted someone who can shoot threes? not quite sure, reddick kinda reminds me of a euro player though.

I don't really see keeping Miller and cutting Redd, he does everything Miller does but a little better.

Collison Added To Team USA; Hinrich, Battier And Oden Withdraw

No big surprise in Hinrich, Battier, and Oden not making the final roster. But, Collison being added for consideration is a little surprising. Although, I don't think he'll make the final roster either.

My predicted rotation as of now:

PG - Kidd, Williams, Billups
SG - Kobe, Miller
SF - Lebron, Carmelo, (Durant or Prince)
PF - Bosh, Amare
C - Howard, Chandler

It's probably more logical to keep Prince on the roster for his defense. But, Durant was just clutch in the scrimmage and he won me over. So, I'm leaning towards Durant, but I wouldn't be surprised if Prince made it instead.

I don't think Durant will make it over Prince. Prince's defense is superior to Durant's even though he is only a rookie. Considering we need shooters desperately, I think Redd will make the team. The final spot will be determined between Williams and Prince.

Durant And Collison Likely To Be Cut?

Los Angeles Times -
Based on the first three days of workouts, the two most likely candidates to be cut are Seattle SuperSonics forwards Nick Collison and Kevin Durant.

Mike Krzyzewski seems to be inclined to feature more versatile perimeter players, including sharpshooters Michael Redd and Mike Miller
.

In Durant, the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, Krzyzewski said: "He's a special player but he's young. That's just the way it is.

"He's solid and he keeps getting better every day, but it's going to come down to what we need right now."

Coack K and I think alike.

I knew Durant wasn't going to make it. The fact that they added Collinson though is mind boggling to me.

Let's see here, final roster consist of:

Kidd / Billups / Williams
Kobe / Redd
Lebron / Miller / Prince
Carmelo / Amare
Howard / Chandler

Quoted for future reference.

WOW.........Like TxLakerfan said, if anything USA would've had no medal at all without Melo...He is one of the purest "scorers" I've seen in many years. Dude will score at will, against any defense, and is an underrated rebounder, and passer. Plus, already 3 of your final 12 roster are cut, so 25% of your final roster has been cut, or withdrawn (nice way of saying dude you're cut). Melo is perfect for the Euro league cause the 3-pt line is closer, right in Melo's comfort zone. Sorry, but I disagree completely with your analysis of Melo.
