It's been explained before. The Lakers have almost no shot at any player that is amnestied.

Even if we DID want him, we wouldn't be able to get him because he will be in the amnesty waiver pool where non-tax teams will be able to bid on him, ala Clippers last year with Billups. The Lakers, Magic and Heat are the 3 teams that cannot bid on him since they're all above 70M.
