Is it me or are there Gary Payton stories getting confusing?

At another forum I here Gary's already signed, but they're waiting to tell everyone, I also heard from other places that he's a "virtual lock" to come to the Lakers, now I hear he's waiting for other offers, WTF,Gary?

The best thing to do murci is to try to find a link that has the real scoop on GP. The latest i've heard on GP is not good news, with a seattle radio station....but then again...we also heard 690 (a LA radio show) on the first day of negotiations with FAs (July 1st) say something about a Slava/Pargo trade to Washington for Lue. I haven't seen that in the paper once. So I stay optimistic, cuz that was a radio show report and I think only the papers tomorrow will tell the real story...It could happen tomorrow, but the real fireworks will go off July 16th.
