Gonna go with no, it's Jim's team. What realistically can we do that makes us better without gutting the team? I also personally think that Jim Buss really doesn't care that much about winning as long as the arena is full and money is made.

The All Star game is only a month away so that would be within 2 months.

Some people act like the only hold up in the Dwight trade is Jimmy. It's not that simple. Yes, maybe Jimmy is a moron, but he's not the rate limiter here. If Orl wanted a straight Drew-Dwight swap, it would have done already.

Orlando wants more obviously....and even moron Jimmy is smart enough to know that shipping both our bigs for Dwight and bad contracts is a bad move for us.

I think the FO will take a shot at both Deron and Dwight before the trade deadline .. if it doesn't work then Pau for a PG/PF combo ... if the roster stays intact , we will become the new post 2008 San Antonio Spurs i.e a pseudo contender who gets older and older

What could we possibly offer for 2 of the top 8 players in the NBA?.... If Howard comes here it will be for Pau and Bynum and he will come with "baggage" that will hamper us for years to come. If we get Howard I believe that NJ will move D-Will...... but to Dallas.... not us. They can offer a lot more than we can after we trade Pau and Andrew.....

We have a chance at D-Will IF AND ONLY IF Howard is traded to someone else. Even then Dallas will be in a very competitive position with us.

Neither Brooks or Smith will choose the Lakers as their future. Just the way it is.

When Drew went down, we traded for Pau. Now that Blake is down, maybe we'll get a new PG.

How do we know? Karl Malone became a Laker. Matt Barnes became a Laker. Anyone can.

Aaron would be our starting PG. JR would be giving the green light to create offense and score off the bench.

What are their options? Back to Denver who has replaced him with Afflao/Brewer/Rudy/Miller. Back to PHX where he'd be Nash's back up up on a lottery team?

These two would be fantastic options.

It'd be difficult to make it happen, but the TPE and picks would be enough if a team weith cap space was willing to sign and trade them. Basically doing themselves a favor by acquiring picks or Ebanks/Morris/gl0ck and a trade X for nothing.

Personally, I'd still trade Bynum/Pau for Howard if we could get Anderson back. I'm all for Howard/Anderson/Hedo for Pau/Drew.
