I thought he had a great game tonight. I was a little worried early on when he picked up his first foul 90 seconds into the game, but he managed to avoid silly fouls and only finished with 3.

He got going early and they let him attack Timmy right from the jump. He looked much more like the Orlando Dwight. He attacked the rim, got after the rebounds, swatted what came his way, and controlled the D in the post (except for when there wasn't communication...not his fault).

Also props on hitting the two clutch FTs.

If teams are going to continue to double him then Meeks, Blake, Jamison, MWP, Morris, Glock, and Duhon HAVE to hit their 3s. I thought we should have given it to him even more in this one because we had a man open every time once they started doubling but we didn't get hot from outside until after the 4th was underway.

Yeah I mean with Morris I'm happy if he even gets the rim, and Duhon, dude's got dust on his jersey still, plus I think he only makes ridiculous long-range 3s, not regular ones

i think dwight did a good job showing that he can grow into a 1B on a championship team. he's never going to close games out for a club, but neither did shaq and that's fine.

he just needs to be dwight howard defensively, put up 20ppg and this franchise is headed in a great direction because a big man who plays defense like him when he's healthy, rebounds like him, and scores 20 points is capable with a closer of helping to lead a team to a title

If you're wide open on a team with Dwight as your franchise player, playing in a MDA system and are open from 3 you have to make it. I don't care if it's Chris Duhon, Pau Gasol, or Gary Vitti.

goudelock needs to get more time than morris. Splinter is absolutely out of control and incapable of hitting any shots.

Great game by Dwight tonight. That's the way he has to play if we want to have any chance of doing any damage in the playoffs assuming we win Wednesday.

D12 had gone through KG's Bostons and Lebron's Cavs and made the Finals. We should trust him more.

Mark Medina

Dwight Howard talks about the leadership he's trying to provide without Kobe Bryant
"I watched Kobe all year and watched what he did with this team," Howard said. "He's not one of the guys who will be in the locker room and be vocal. He's just going to do everything on the court. That's where he shows his leadership with how hard he plays and how hard he trains. Other guys are the vocal guys. Btu I believe I can do both. I've been trying to do that the whole year. With Kobe out, I understand I have to do more with this team. It's a good opportunity for me. I believe I can do it."

Great game from the big fella. He hit the glass hard. He stayed out of foul trouble. He was focused.

I LOVED his demeanor in the on court interview right after the game. No smiles. He was as serious as Kobe. Kid just may be starting to get it.

My favorite was the little shove on Danny Green. :man10:

The dude wasn't taking any of that ish in this game. I can definitely see a future with this guy. Give me a wing who can create for himself and has some explosive ability... Oh yes. I see a future here.

I was certain that was going to be a T. Guess the refs missed it, especially Crawford.

i loved that shove to Green. get a little angry. play with emotion. thats what we need. metta does the same thing. plus Green did foul him for like no reason after the whistle. Glad ref didnt see or let it slide...surprisingly

Just remember that is with his subpar back. He's still not as good as in 2009, but he is more fit and a lot closer than he was at the All-Star break.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
