I will now be donating a Howard jersey I never wore to the goodwill.

First thing he did was change his profile picture on Twitter. NBA players are obsessed with social media. It's so annoyinggg

He needs to get someone to help him change the background image - it's still showing him in a Lakers jersey.

Can't really disagree with any of what Stephen A is saying right now. Says Dwight is sold that he and Harden can be like Kobe and Shaq down the line. Says he was really sold by McHale and Hakeem, and on our end Mike 'Antoni came to the meeting and barely said a word. He pretty much puts this on Jim Buss, says the Lakers weren't willing to change their playing style for Dwight, fire 'Antoni for Dwight, I guess do all that Houston was willing to do. So maybe realdeal is right, maybe we really didn't want to keep Dwight at all costs after this terrible season.

As lame as dwight has been, this would never have happened if Jim wasn't in charge. Anyone who doesn't see that is blind. West is gone. Phil is gone. Dr. buss is gone. Jeanie buss has a smaller role. Magic is gone. This isn't the Lakers franchise we are used to. Why do you think Magic sold his share? cause he loves baseball more than basketball?

I wish dwight the best in houston. Clearly he wasn't a fit here. And there's nothing wrong with that. Both parties can now move on.

Probably not the best time or place for this, but I found this on a Rockets board while searching for some doom after the report that he changed his mind and thought it was hilarious.

God almighty.......being a fan is unbearable right now. Kobe blew out his achillies. MDA is still the coach. Dwight leaves 30 mil on the table to leave the Lakers, despite pleas from Kobe and Nash. Earl Clark - a promising young player, is gone. And worst of all - Bron just won another ring, and Wade now has 3. Now I know what it felt like for all the HATERS when Kobe won 2 more without Shaq and then got Nash and Howard last summer. I can't take this sh...... :bang:

I always took the path of he was a Bynum replacement. I would rather face him leaving than the thought of to max or not max out Bynum like Phili did and have the future ride on his knees.

I got that he never asked to come, but I also got he came because he did one of the dumbest opt ins ever. He had reasons to leave, but honestly one thing the year showed was he didn't want to be fully in. Its just not about being him or Kobe. Is the whole arguing and screaming at Nash till Metta separates them. The whole him wanting the ball on the block over Pau, ignoring he had the second most post ups of all bigs behind Al Jefferson and had a high turnover rate, low conversion, and the hacking thing. Its been a mess of a year from death, to coaches, to injuries, but the whole thing I always looked at Dwight as being was a piece to a puzzle they try to fit together next summer and as a co star.

I tell you I didn't see a guy who should have his name up there with Kobe, Shaq, West, Goodrich, Worthy, Kareem, and Magic. Hell not even over Scott, Fisher, Cooper, Odom, Horry, Fox based off his laker tenure.

I wish him well in Houston, I'm not even sure how they all fit but I won't wish injury on a cat. I will wish that he meets the Lakers in the playoffs and they send him home. I don't advocate tanking because I don't think the west as a whole is strong or unbeatable, and because Dr Buss never would advocate that for the Lakers.

I truly don't know. The way the west looks tanking makes no sense.

- GS got a semi-star in Iggy but I think Jack and Landry will be missed
- Clips will be good but they need a backup pg and big
- Dallas doesn't really have a plan
- Kings, Blazers, Wolves, Suns are just there like always
- Dont know how a rookie coach handles Memphis
- SA usually flames out bad the year after a finals run
- OKC lacks a third scorer and needs to re-up Thabo
- Plicans got better but are a young unknown who I think will surprise people
- Denver lost players and Geroge Karl

I mean realistically I get the whole the sky is falling thing but realistically. Kobe is set to return in December at the latest. Pau gets the paint and C spot which he won titles at. Nash should be healthier at least after a summer off to rehab his leg break. I'm not saying they are a hca team, but I don't think 5/6 seed and second round depending on matchups is impossible. Games aren't won on paper, but on the court, and all it takes is health and momentum at the fit time

Can someone please remind me how Dwight is supposed to win a championship with that Houston rocket team? Harden couldnt even with one with Durant and Westbrook and was a no show in the NBA finals and all of a sudden hes supposed to take Howard and the Rockets to next level? And who is Parsons??? What has he done in his NBA career to make Dwight believe their going to win a championship? Seriously Dwight you are delusional, and you will win NOTHING as long as your a ROCKET.

My "sources" are telling me that sometimes my "sources" can be wrong or can be right. #OWNED :man1:
“Look, we don’t get five championships by being sympathetic towards each other and kissing each other’s a– during the game,” Bryant said Wednesday when asked about the Lakers’ upcoming game against the Thunder next week. “I’m going to demolish him. He understands that. If he switches off on me in the post, there’s going to be problems. I’m sure he’ll put an elbow right in my back, and that’s why we love each other.”

Who cares. Maybe with some luck, they can get some stars to opt out next summer and we bring them in.

atleast we wont have to deal with dwight crying and demanding for touches in the post and have him get stripped, do a bad pass, or miss free throws.

James Harden and Chandler Parsons get credit for landing Dwight Howard too. They started building strong relationship with him in early May.
