That would be me. I felt that going to houston was the best move for him. And the primary reason is that their roster is more certain than this makeshift crap we have. The second, and probably more important reason, is that i wouldn't trust jimmy running this franchise.

Fat chance that lebron leaves Pat Riley next year for jimmy. This organization is at risk of being royally screwed.

Ryan Kelapire ‏@RyanNBA 14min
Dwight took "After the ring!" off of his Twitter bio. Seems appropriate.

I don't get why Stephen A brings up that Dwight told him he's excited to be mentored by Hakeem. Dwight said the same thing about Kareem when he came here, and Dwight didn't go to him for ish, didn't learn a thing from him. He never learned a thing from Ewing in Orlando either, what will be different with Hakeem? Please.

Mixed feelings.

Every criticism of Dwight posted here is valid.

By the same token, it's clear that the Lakers are going nowhere with Jim Buss and Dumbtoni at the controls, so I can't really blame any player for wanting to bail at this point.

He also had an offseason with Hakeem before. :man12:

He better not say the rockets have a championship pedigree as well. They were two MJ baseball seasons away from not knowing what a title was. He left to go have fun.

Not really surprised at that Kobe and Pau pic, or why Kobe has stood by him for years. Pau was soft his first season here, but he took the challenge and manned up the next 2 seasons. He dominated Dwight in the Finals, and came up big against the Celtics for revenge in 2010. Pau accepted Kobe's challenging him to step up, he didn't shrink from it, and they won titles, that's respect that will stay for life no matter where Pau goes I'd say.

Well said Weezy. After all the flak we give Pau for his piss poor play the last coup,e of seasons, that's a nice way to put it compared to this Dwightmare

Heck his name isn't above Bynum at this point. Even Malone and Payton contributed more to this franchise in their only year here.

Think about this, KWAME BROWN has participated in more Laker Playoff wins than this clown.

Parsons will be gone.... soon as he sits next to Dwight on the bench and does that little finger thing on Dwight's hand. Then what? :man1:

Well, I think that's that. I think this ridiculously long thread has reached it's end. Further discussions on where we go after Dwight can move to here, and anyone who wants to talk Dwight for God knows why can make a thread in NBA Discussion

In all reality, this is the best thing that can happen to us. I would've however attempted to do the sign and trade for a 2015 first. Dwight's BS should do Houston in by then.

The day we traded for Dwight, I was really excited. Although I felt Bynum was the better player, his health concerned me. Then I saw how small Dwight played - holding the ball low, trying to face up players etc. Defensively, great player, offensively - he's offensive.

I truly hope we eat him for lunch every time we play him.

For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.
