Did you forget that we still have KOBE, GASOL, LAMAR, Phil, and some of the best role players in the entire league. Why in hell would we not try to win it this year when we are winning games left and right even without Bynum.
Yeah, against the Leastern Conference.Even with Gasol,we have yet to prove we can beat the elite.Lets face it,We got fat on some weak teams on that road trip.
We need Bynum back if we truly want to get outta the west.

The swelling is out of his knee and he has not had any setbacks in his recovery, although he will not return at the beginning of the timetable established by the Lakers of "at least eight weeks" from the time of the injury.

they will keep him out 2 weeks possibly 1 after hes healthy
yeah, it sound slike he is only a wekk behind scheduale.
don't freak out people, over cryptic phil comments.

With Gasol anchoring our defense, there are several teams better than us including both of the contenders in the East, the playoff Spurs, and the new look Mavericks.

but if tonight is any indication of what were capable of
(granted it is V. the hawks in a high emotion home game)
than take your time AB, and come back strong and ready to win
i hope Farmar gets him into yoga. i cant help but wonder, if Andrew were more
flexible, if this injury couldve been avoided or at least not as severe
i also hope he is a good swimmer. that will be a great way for him to maintain
his conditioning, as well as improve his flexibility and body fluidity.
GET WELL SOON AB. emphasis on the get well part, im not so worried about the soon

But it wasn't just Phil's comment tonight. Sky came in and said Bynum is not returning until April.
I like what the LA Times wrote much better!!!
I wish we weren't getting these conflicting reports!

Dumb statements like this don't do much for your cred.

You can't be serious?
My credibility is going to be affected by saying what I think? Well, I haven't been excommunicated for committing a worse sin than saying the Lakers aren't better than another; I've said I prefer James over Bryant.
With Gasol as our defensive anchor, I maintain what I said. Dallas is a better team especially now that they've added Jason Kidd. That adds a completely different dimension to their team.
reading that. i would love an intelligible response from you
)L4L wrote:This isn't really the thread blake, but I'm talking about if I'm building a team to win a championship this year, I'd take LeBron first because I think he's easier to build around and be a better fit in more systems than would Bryant. For this team? Bryant is easily the better fit because of the relationship with Phil, knowledge of the offense, and the fact we don't need another front court player.

The last thing I want is Bynum being rushed back before he's ready.
No reason to gamble many high caliber years in the future for a few extra weeks this year.
