And since the Lakers FO won't trade Bynum for him, and the Nets don't want Pau, Deron's only realistic options are Brooklyn and Dallas.
Even outside of a sign and trade, I think it was all just a ploy anyway from Deron's agent basically creating a "sources say" thing weeks ago about Deron having interest in joining the Lakers. That was just a ploy to create more demand, and thus leverage, in his negotiations with the Nets and also Mavs. He never was seriously interested in LA.
The other thing is Dwight Howard. You gotta think that Dwight has filled Deron's head with his beef with LA. The sad thing is that there will be no Deron or Dwight next year for the Lakers. Deron ain't coming to Tinseltown, and neither is Dwight. That leaves us with the same Lakers as we had last season, and the only other teams willing to trade are gonna make the Lakers worse not better.
