lol housten gives up WAY too much in that trade.
Every time I begin to ask, "Is he really as great as I think he is?" ...He proves that he is.
Every time I begin to wonder...He proves it...That is why I won't lose hope in him.

Houston had already agreed to that trade before Stern nixed it.

its not even that much either

scola and martin are declining and expensive. pau isn't really declining and in Houston, he'd get his low post opps back
dragic is nice, but he's not necessary with lowry there(lowry is hurt right now, but im talking grand scheme). he's a free agent and will probably be gone anyways

It's also the current deal that Houston offered us for Pau. We wanted Lowry, but if we can get Deron with that package.

I understand that, but they can argue that Dragic's value has shot up, while Pau's value has declined just a little bit.

Which even makes it better. Houston still wants Pau without giving up Lowry. Dragic's stock is up which makes him a good piece in the deal to NJ as a PG.

dwill/beasley
sessions/beasley

i think i'm happy either way...maybe moreso with sessions/beasley cuz then we theoretically keep our big 3 intact and add some quality at a discount price

another game, another career night for opposing point guards against the Lakers.

yes, I'm all for keeping our big 3 and adding sessions/beasley.

If we can just keep Gasol and fill in the other spots with the TPE and picks, I think we'd be a better team than almost any realistic Gasol trade can possibly get us.

If we add a PG + Beasley, please keep Gasol.

I think the only way Pau goes out is if D Will or Rondo + Bass comes back in. And I am not so sure Rondo+Bass gets it done either.

Keep Pau!!!!! He makes life so much easier for Drew who is beasting.....
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Highly Unlikely Pau Will Be Traded

Highly Unlikely Pau Will Be Traded

Highly unlikely Pau Gasol will be traded. After LA nixed a potential Rondo swap interest dropped way off, source tells me.
