Kobe the Closer

Their TS% isn't that different (a fact that I mention to Kobe haters all the time). And it is really impressive that Kobe does it againt so much harder defenses.

HOWEVER, Kobe's TS% isn't written.. it could go down significantly over the next few years. Also, he could shoot better if he just decided to shoot better shots. I want him to be undisputed as greater than Jordan. Shooting better would do that.

Dude you're shooting for something that will never happen. I don't think Kobe will ever be considered better than Jordan by the majority even if he wins another title or two or gets his FG% up.

Ya, I love Kobe (and I hate MJ) but it will take more than a higher FG% (or TS%) for him to upstage MJ...

I agree. But it would help.

There is more to the story than that. Kobe takes more threes which raises his ts%, but taking threes and missing them allows the other team to get out and run. Also, fg% is a better indicator of missed shots than ts%. So in crunch time, I would rather have someone take smarter shots, giving the team a better chance to win the game. Bad shots can create motmentum swings against your team.

To me, that is the difference between kobe and Jordan. Smart play in crunch time. Kobe is great, but Jordan is that little bit better. And I think Kobe is more skilled...just not as smart.

In your own thread, whenever Kobe loses? You don't post in any other thread but your own. You can vent in a variety different places.

That said they are really zoning him. No one could do well against that. In first h he missed some easy shots. Hopefully those will start falling.

Kobe played masterful on d. And in 4th and overtime masterful on o. He needs to keep facing up and jab stepping. Only way he can get space against tough defenders now thqt he is older.

Yes call me stupid....

I'm not the one bumping, "Kobe the Closer", in the middle of the 2nd quarter.
