Lakers, Spurs, Knicks and Celtics have expressed interest in trading for Utah G-F Josh Howard, a source says. Jazz don't want to make deal.

Out of the 37 games played, Howard has started 14 of them. In those 14 starts, he's averaging 12 points and 5 boards on 46% from the field and 39% from three.

I don't think we should automatically cast this off as a BS rumor meant to get hits. We have a hole at SF. Howard is a viable option to fill that hole since we can probably get him for very cheap and he's an expiring contract.

Perhaps, but it just seems like every player out there is mentioned as having interest from the Lakers right now. Having not heard once before now that we were interested in Josh Howard, but for weeks now that we were interested in Felton/Sessions/Beasley/Dwight and some others, I just find it hard to believe we are, unless it's for like Ron or something. Or maybe I just think Josh Howard is a headcase and kinda sucks, just personally don't like him and don't want it to be true, and I just want this trade deadline to be over with already.

he's been decent this year, which is much better than barnes and mwp have been (for the most part). still, not the kind of upgrade you hope for. and pg is a more glaring need than sf.

In the right system J Howard can be a monster. I would be intrigued by the Lakers getting him. He is certainly better then Barnes.
