Lakers play back to back playoff games on Friday May 18th and Saturday May 19th according to NBA.com? Is that correct? The Eastern teams do not play any back to back games, but the Lakers and Clippers do!! It does not may sense. Is this a penalty for going seven games in the first round?

The problem stems from the late start to the abbreviated season. The playoffs started two weeks late this year so we're already halfway through May and we're only now starting the conference semifinals. Stern warned that back to back playoff dates would likely be on the calendar during the playoffs in order to finish the season by the end of June. They can't allow the playoffs to slip into July because they're very likely to need players from the Finals contenders for the Olympic team. Say it's OKC vs Miami in the Finals; they'll need six players from those two teams (Durant, Harden, Westbook, Bosh, James, Wade).

Vitti uttered three words that surely applies to how Bryant made two free throws on one leg, walked off the court on his own and processed his rehabilitation plan amid the pain, frustration and tears.

“That’s really cool.”
