Anyway he's not getting 8 million, Lou Williams got 5 million, Beasley 6 million, Mayo will get between 5-6.

Unless Phoenix overpays, Mayo will get right around what you said. At least I hope he does. From us...in a sign and trade deal :man9:

Like you said Doc, McRoberts/Morris/Goudelock works financially if he goes for something like 5 million dollars. And hey, we can offer him a contract that is worth 6 million averaged with the beginning salary being closer to 5. He gets paid a decent amount and he still gets to play for the team he's rumored to want (LA).

That being said, I would bet that Sarver would pay him the extra bucks to keep him out of LA. He did Nash a favor, not LA.

Why not just fire the coach outright :-) :bang:

That's Buss's baby, not Mitch's. If your boss hires a dude that you hate, you've got to do what you've got to do to make the job go right. You can't really ask for him to be fired, especially if the boss is enthusiastic about him.

Althought I agree he should at the very least be demoted, but probably fired.

You can't fire Brown after one season. Especially after you gave him a mediocre roster last year to begin with.

Last year's roster was far from mediocre. We have one of the highest payrolls in the league so Brown has to know that he is in the hot seat from day one. Is it fair? Probably not but he knew what he was getting into. Brown fails in a lot of aspects as a coach and excels in others. The roster is definitely not his fault but it also isn't his out. He should be judged on overall performance and his ability to get the most out of his players. Also in question would be his rotations, minutes played, offensive schemes and likability. Brown gave a C+ performance at best. I don't envy his position but then again maybe I do since he makes a lot more money than I do. High profile positions will always be looked a little more critically in any business.

^ Well, to be fair, he had a worse roster than what Phil Jackson had, and did better. We should all expect more, no doubt, despite the fact that he was new to the team, to the players, no training camp, compressed schedule. , he did more than Phil Jackson with less.

He deserves at least one full, regular season.

This why inmates running the aslyum is not a GOOD thing. Haha.

Brown gone?

The coach who had no real training camp? Made us better defensively? Got us further?

I know he has his faults, but every coach does. How many times did we yell at Brown for not pulling Glock in? Not putting Morris in the game for Blake? How are they doing in SL play right now?

Exactly.

Give him time. He got LeBron and scrubs far every year.

Great post. As you said MB is far from perfect, but he's not awful. I'd say he's a decent head coach. I really don't think Spoelstra is any better and he just won a championship.

Perhaps the thread title should be updated to reflect Mayo’s $8 million per salary demand.

OJ Mayo to Dallas ? Not bad Mr Cuban. 10 days ago Dallas was the laughing stock of the league. Now they've got a solid team once again.

EDIT: AND they kept their flexibility for 2013. Gotta give credit to Cuban.

Delonte and OJ are both combo guards, so who knows? They both could play in the same backcourt.
