OJ Mayo To The Lakers?

Postby Texas Lakers Fan on Sat Jul 14, 2012 6:54 pm

According to AM 570 the Lakers and Grizzlies are discussing a sign and trade. OJ goes to L.A. Blake and McScrub go to Memphis. Thoughts?

Nice...but our depth is destroyed. Okay, we never had any depth.

That's a good deal, but who the hell is going to backup Nash? And that's only if we're keeping JH, too. Need at least one remotely athletic big off the pine.

Sign both Hills and Jamison.

Nash/G-Lock
Kobe/Mayo
MWP/G-Hill
Pau/Jamison
Drew/J-Hill

Oj would play both backups. We could run him next to Goudelock or Odom.

i cringed during the lakers summer league game right now when they posed the hypothetical situation if nash was out for a stretch of 15-20 games and goudelock or morris would have to fill in as the starting PGs

2 good 2 B true. However, if so, Kinda don't care about PG depth if we can get Mayo for 2 scrubs.

I LOVE the idea.. but, for real folks.. when's the last time AM570 provided any LEGITIMATE information? It seems like they're giving there own opinions, and not what's being discussed. SO, I'm not to up on this unitl someone else discusses it.

Adding Mayo while dropping Blake, no brainer.

It's not like Blake is any better.

Blake and McRob for Mayo? Sign me up. Plus Jordan Hill is our PF off the bench he earned it. I don't know what's going on with the free agency business with Jordan Hill, I hope he comes back.

If this is true (and I have my doubts), who's our second string PG?

Blake is several orders of magnitude better than Morris. If you want some proof, consider what happened to the team when Blake went out with an injury a month into the season.

It also wouldn't shock me if this goes through that the Lakers go for a cheap young PG.... like Jonny Flynn.
