Melo to LA? (Part 2)

Melo to LA? (Part 2)

Postby Doberman on Wed Mar 14, 2012 6:33 am

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-03-1 ... -says.html

Reports are out that Melo wants to be dealt before the deadline. He knows everyone is blaming him for the Knicks losing all of a sudden, after Lin had them rolling.

So, Melo for Bynum anyone?

I would love to see Kobe and Melo share 1 ball.

Melo for Walton; anything else hurts this team. Throw in Fisher if needed to match salaries. (I know, I know, not enough outgoing salary.)

But seriously, no.

Well we'd probably get Chandler back too. So:

C - Chandler
PF - Pau
SF - Melo
SG - Kobe
PG - Blake

Now if Chandler came back too it would certainly be tempting. Though I don't think its to be expected that he would simply be a throw in lol. Even then its not something I would be really excited about.

Notice how our projected team wins stayed the same after that trade even though we are trading Luke/MWP/Blake for Amare or Carmelo.

Should tell you something about the crap that is Amare and Carmelo.

Though its funny how things changes in a year. I remember a lot of people who wanted to make the deal. And every non-Laker fan thought we would be stealing Carmelo.

Now, one year later, everyone laughs at the idea, and I think even non-Lakers fans would think it wouldn't be convinient for us.

Some did. And it would've been the wrong move then, too.

If our offense is stagnant now, then the squad gets another player who likes to pick and probe the defense by himself? And without the game winning cache of moves?
