First off, can somebody tell me the truth (with credible source cited)...If Kobe is convicted, is the punishment 4 years to life imprisonment OR 20 years probation? OR is it th 4 years to life PLUS 20 years probation?...That makes a big difference here.
Now, here is the basic chronology.
Aug 6th: Kobe will be formally charged when he returns to CO.
Late Aug-Early Sept: Preliminary Hearings
(Case could be thrown out (unlikely), date for trial to be set)
*Kobe will train and play until right before his trial. His trial will last anywhere from 2-6 weeks. If innocent, he will obviously return to the court. If guilty, I don't know, cuz I need information about the above question.*
Bottomline: Kobe will probably miss a few weeks to a month of the season, since he will be required to be in court for the trial. The rest depends on the verdict. If he is declared innocent, we will be celebrating a championship come June.
