Vintage LA Lakers hat

Vintage LA Lakers hat

Postby any88 on Tue Aug 28, 2012 9:34 am

Ok, I need help from some hardcore NBA fanatics who know their business.

I found this hat (im from Croatia), and I was pretty shocked we had something like this since we dont really watch basketball that much. I dont remember the hat. Its weird by Lakers standard, I would say. I never seen one like this, and I dont think Its fake. It has Registered sign on it, and Im really not sure, if that not real hat, why would someone make a fake/replica hat in the style that Lakers never had. So im hoping this is the real deal and that some of you recognize it.

Unfortunately, the tag is gone. Im not sure if it even had it, but it is quite possible because inside of the cap you can see that there was something, but its cuz of along with fabric that, i think, used as that thingy that soaks up sweat.

EDIT:

Pics are in the next post

Hey man all of your images are posted from a website that requires a password to see it. Try opening those pictures in another tab and then copying that URL and pasting it here. Maybe that will let us see the pictures.

Otherwise we're just looking at an "X" image.

Wow I haven't seen anything like that. I'm sorry man, I wish I could help.

Even if it's not real, it's a cool hat anyway. What are you trying to do with it?

Some rivet-happy person stuck steel plates on a hat. Can't see why any nba-contracted company would produce something like that.

well at least it won't blow away :mhihi:

I'm sure you'll find some eclectic fan who will give his/her left arm for it, but it's definitely got a euro/non-American feel to it. Pretty cool either way; wish I could help.

I agree on the home-made feel to it. Wouldn't be that hard to do if you know what you're doing. The hat itself may have been created for another purpose (there are plenty of teams/groups with the colors of purple and gold) then someone added on the metal work.

Doesn't seem that it would be all that comfortable, last thing you want to do is where metal on your head to attract heat. Would get really hot really quick. Maybe someone in Norway or Alaska would have an interest?
