Was Metta a victim of illegal flopping?

Was Metta a victim of illegal flopping?

Postby LakersFanInCali on Sun Apr 22, 2012 9:31 pm

After watching the elbow incident many times today, I have came to the conclusion that it was a flop. I hope everyone can have an open mind and let me present my case or evaluation of the incident.

1.) There is a strong case that Harden had no business running up to Ron while he flails his arm in his trademark chest thumping. Ron threw his elbow like many players that threw their elbows after a rebound to get the defender off. Like in baseball when a pitcher would throw inside to knock the hitter off the plate. Ron was doing this in the heat of the moment to intimidate the opponent.

Unfortunately it hit Harden in his ear. As you can see with the video below the point of contact was his ears. It wasn't a strong enough elbow to knock Harden out. He got up and walked off. As a matter of fact he was "selling" the elbow to the ear.

Examples of Harden selling flops are located below:

As usual...Harden stays down holding his head. Which was not hit. Just like he wasn't hit today. Ron hit his ear.

Here is another illegal play by Harden. Yes, unintentional hit that leads to an illegal flop.

As you can see with the video posted above, James Harden has a habitual tendency to illegally flop and sell fouls.

Did Harden get hit in the ear by Metta? Yes, but the hit isn't as vicious as the selling that was done on the ground.

Ladies and gentleman, Harden was not hurt in the play. There were no bruises or signs of blood from a busted ear. He was cleared to comeback and play but was advised by his advisers to stay in the locker room for further tests. Harden himself, wanted to comeback and play.

It's not as serious as some may try to portray and Harden's activity may cost one of our key players a suspension.

Let the mods decide whether to lock it or not.

The mods here do a great job with their own judgement and will not be told what to do.

That's what so great about this place.

Thank you for the fair response.

I clearly made an evaluation and I also brought evidence that supported this.

It was just an unfortunate situation where Ron hit another player's ear and that other player is known for these illegal antics of flopping and selling.

That is why I am so adamant about flopping.

The NBA says they are going to suspend Ron according to how seriously hurt Harden is.

The selling didn't help his Ron's case here.

Ok who else thinks this is James Harden posting but he's completely lost it and is now insane and came here to post? Cmon, admit it!

I'm a Lakers fan dude.

I am not coming in here dissing the team and fans. This thread clearly states and shows that I support Metta and the team.

How am I trolling?

My "second" favorite part is how MWP was just flailing his arms like players do after they get a rebound and unfortunately, Harden's face got in the way of that.

Except, there was no rebound. Maybe an imaginary one. And that explains this thread?

No need for personal attacks. And it was an elbow, and Metta got his money worth. Lets see Harden come up to Metta again like that...
