Who will start at the five for the lakers next year?

Who should lakers have as center next year, Howard Bynum, Gasol or other?
Should the lakers trade bynum for howard, keep bynum and gasol, trade bynum for depth/other pieces and play gasol as center or trade gasol for Igodala?

What do you think? Bynum is having revolutionary knee procedures in germany that help kobe play like he was 22 again... Dwight had back surgery and chronic back pain and other complications could hinder his athleticism. He has no fundamentals and no post game so he might never be the same. On the other hand gasol can play center so perhaps the lakers should trade for depth and other key pieces and dish bynum for some key role players or a star or two so the have depth?

The last option which i personally favor is dumping Gasol to get younger and more athletic as well as better defense by getting Igodala from philly. Imagina Nash kobe iggy and Bynum. Iggy's athleticism and speed could make up for nash's god awful defense and with nash to feed drew, Kobe and igge the lakers would be unstoppable on offense!

Why so many people insist on getting dwight? I'd rather keep Bynum who has changed from a baby fat stiff to an Allstar despite injuries than Dwight who after 8 years still relies on athleticism and doesn't have a back-to-basket game. Plus knees are repaired more easily than back.

Dwight is worse, way worse at free throws than even Shaq. Dwight makes less th 50% of his free throws.

There is a growing faction of Club Lakers users here who are against the mods dumping every thread into one single thread about a player that ends up going on for months and over hundreds of pages. No where else on the Internet do you see such zealous moderating. It is driving people away to other forums.

I am not sure if we really need this thread. How do we know who is going to start? Probably Bynum, except if he gets traded for Howard. In that case, Dwight will start. But wait... if he's still recovering in October... Pau will start at the 5. Except if he gets traded. :man10:
