Another JO trade scenario

It was mentioned on ESPN, that one of JO's teammate believes that the four-time All-Star hopes to end up in Los Angeles next season alongside Kobe Bryant, his fellow preps-to-pros groundbreaker from the draft class of 1996. O'Neal and Bryant are said to be still fairly close after coming into the league together.

So if the Garnett thing isn't going to happen, why not JO?

Kawame $ 9,075,000
Brian Cook $3,500,000

for

Jermaine $ 19,710,000
Jeff Foster $ 5,700,000
1st Round Pick

Benfits:

Lakers; Gets a establish big men in JO, a decent backup for Bynum in Jeff Foster (who's contract expires after the 08 season, I had to put him in the trade to make it work) and we swap 1st round picks, moving a couple spots up.

Indiana: They trade away a disgruntaled star and return gets LO, who will probley be a all-star forward in the east (no way it's going to happen out here in the west) and he will be the number one option, which he has shown signs of (early in the season when kobe missed a couple games he was avg. 30 points). Kwame who's a decent defensive prescence and contract will expire after the 08 season (freeing up a little cap space, if they chose to not re-sign him). Cook ( just because I had to put him in to make the trade work and I don't like him).

And no I didn't want to trade for Jamaal Tinsley, he's locked untill 2011 season, though it will also work with Jamaal instead of Foster

I think this is more realistic than any Garnett scenario. Flame away

They won't do it unless we pick up Tinsley's salary.

Right off the bat Pacers traded their 2007 -#1 to the Hawks for Al Harrington. Its top 10 protected so barring them getting a top 3 pick in the lottery its the Hawks pick.

I would too, I agree out interior defense would be awesome, but if Kwame isn't included trade would not work.

Salary wise we need to match JO's contract and no one comes close to Kwames 8 mil, Rad is second at 5 Mil, I doubt they want to take on him. We would have to offer a combination of Cook, Vujacic etc etc.

someone came up with a hypothetical scenario the other day that people seemed to think might work... ill see if i can find it.

Well in that case I will change it to, their 2008 First rounder for our 2007 & 2008 Second Rounder

The earliest #1 the Pacers could trade would be 2009 the NBA has a rule you can't trade #1 picks in two consecitive years.

Give up WHATEVER IT TAKES besides KB24. Giving up Lamar, Kwame, and the Draft pick would be a no brainer for us... .However, I am 100% sure they will want Bynum as the center piece of any package. If they do it is J-Kidd all over again unless they sweeten the deal and include Danny Granger. NO WAY we take Tinsley.

How about just giving them Lamar, Cook and the first round pick for JO. Then we use the MLE to sign a vet PG. Our lineup would be like:

Tinsley has about 4-5 years left in his contract and about 30 years old. I'm sure in any trade with the Pacers for JO, they will include his contract.

i hate tinsley, but JO would be sweet. get rid of parker and vujafaget in the deal.

I rather see JO and Bynum than JO and Kwame. Im sick of Kwame, crap work ethic and dropping pass. He really hasn't shown much evolving.

Dude, look at our interior defense right now. lol Kwame gives absolutley no effort most of the time when it comes to guards driving the lane, BUT I'll admit his one on one defense in the post is DECENT. But I say we get rid o Kwame, he's had his chance and I think that if we keep hoping that he will explode for an entire year like he did in that ONE playoff game, we would be wasting not only money, but time, and not only the team's time, but Kobe's time because he's not getting any younger.

oh you mean how Amare burned kwame for 4 games and any big man does.

why does everyone want to trade ODOM. i would trade brown and Bynum in a second before Odom. Bynum isnt going to be a great center, im sorry. If anything give up Bynum, Brown, another player and a Draft pick for JO and Tinsely

wont work...if we had grant expiring this year it would, but contract wise it wont

Kwame, Bynum, Resigned Smush, Farmar still is not enough

Odom has to be involved unless they want to take on Vlad, which I doubt they will if they are planning on entering a rebuilding mode

Id say it has to be...

Odom, Kwame, 19th, Resigned Smush, Evans for JO, Tinsley, Daniels

then Id package Bynum, Farmar, Vlad for Billups
