Antonio McDyess?

Are the Lakers looking to signing him for the vet's min? He's a good big who can provide quality backup for us.

If we can get McDyess for the vet minimum or the LLE, we can sign and trade Lamar for Hinrich.

Hinrich/Fisher/Farmar
Kobe/Sasha
Artest/Walton
Pau/Dyess/Powell
Bynum/Mbenga

Thanks but, no thanks. I rather have odom then Dyess to be honest. We aren't the celtics of cavs. We are looking at dynasty not one quick fix. Lock up Odom and let's get the three peat started.

If we get Dice, the problem is minutes. If we re-sign LO, what minutes would we give him? The front court minutes will be used by Pau, Bynum, LO, and a dash of Powell and Mbenga.

He'd be a nice pickup but this is exactly why Ronny left. There's no minutes available in the frontcourt for him.

... and I'd much rather have LO who can lead the bench mob like no other.

Odom is better and more vital. But McDyess is a good alternative if we cannot get Odom back for some reason. I think LO will stay here though. Just a matter of when we can come to terms.

No offense Fly, but Hinrich is nowhere near LO's level.

We'd also lose our edge off the bench that gave us an advantage all year long.

And if Bynum somehow gets hurt again or doesn't progress like he should, we're basically screwed.

I'd rather look to deal Farmar/Morrison's contracts to resolve the PG situation.

McDyess doesn't make LO expendable ... he might only play a couple more seasons where as Lamar is just turning 30. I'd love to have Antonio for cheap if he likes, but that won't push LO out the door.
