Bosh trade idea

Toronto seems at least to be entertaining the idea of trading Chris Bosh before his free agent year. I would think the two things they would want in return is young talent and cap room for 2010. With that in mind, I put this trade scenario together.

post trade lineup:

C - Gasol, Powell
PF - Bosh, Morrison
SF - Ariza, Kapono, Walton
SG- Kobe, Parker, Sasha
PG - Fisher, Farmar

If the Lakers ever went with a Gasol, Bosh, Ariza, Kobe and Parker lineup they would have 4 excellent defenders at the same time.

Being attached to your own guys can make you think you always overpay when you trade "your guys", but Odom's value is as high now as it will ever be and Bosh is hands down better than Bynum. Throw in the fact that Kapono can hit the clutch 3 from the corner that the triangle sets up and the fact that Anthony Parker is a hell of a good defender of opposing guards, and I would think if they made this trade and Buss was willing to pay Bosh the max money as a FA, our big 3 of Gasol, Bosh and Kobe would be better than Pierce, KG and Allen.

I'm not sure if you overvalue Bynum or just don't know how great Bosh is and is going to be. The guy is a beast and he's young and stays healthy.

I'm not sure if you know how rare it is to find someone like Andrew Bynum.

I like Bynum. He's a good kid. But I don't know what makes him so rare. Shaq was rare. Hakeem was rare. Even the Admiral and Ewing were rare. I don't really see myself putting Drew in that "rare" class. What I do know is that Bosh is on the upside of his career and he has almost no flaws in his game.

having Bosh is like having Pau # 2....both look great on O but when it comes to playing bigger/physical opponents they will shrink.

Well Pau has done a much, much better job this season of toughening up against the bigger guys.
