Toronto seems at least to be entertaining the idea of trading Chris Bosh before his free agent year. I would think the two things they would want in return is young talent and cap room for 2010. With that in mind, I put this trade scenario together.http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=aar44l
post trade lineup:
C - Gasol, Powell
PF - Bosh, Morrison
SF - Ariza, Kapono, Walton
SG- Kobe, Parker, Sasha
PG - Fisher, Farmar
If the Lakers ever went with a Gasol, Bosh, Ariza, Kobe and Parker lineup they would have 4 excellent defenders at the same time.
Being attached to your own guys can make you think you always overpay when you trade "your guys", but Odom's value is as high now as it will ever be and Bosh is hands down better than Bynum. Throw in the fact that Kapono can hit the clutch 3 from the corner that the triangle sets up and the fact that Anthony Parker is a hell of a good defender of opposing guards, and I would think if they made this trade and Buss was willing to pay Bosh the max money as a FA, our big 3 of Gasol, Bosh and Kobe would be better than Pierce, KG and Allen.
