Bruce Bowen anyone?

Sources: Bucks Shopping Bowen

Jul 24, 2009 3:53 PM EST

The Bucks are shopping Bruce Bowen, according to a number of leagues sources.

Milwaukee acquired Bowen in the trade that sent Richard Jefferson to San Antonio last month.

Bowen could be an attractive option for some teams because his contract is only partially guaranteed.




I dont mind having more defenders in there also he's a good corner shooter

I have developed so much hate for Bowen over the years i don't know if i would ever accept him in a Lakers uniform.

Nope my money is on Ammo doing very well this year. No old folks on this team, especially as annoying as Bowen is.

Radner, I totally agree. I would keep Morrison for the simple fact that (1) his contract is expiring, and (2) he could be valuable as a trade chip this summer or before the February deadline.

Why go after Bowen when he'll be released anyway?

Isnt Bowen a very good system player? Also in spurts he can defend pretty well. I trust his defense and shooting over Morrison whos still recovering from his acl surgery 2 YEARS AGO!!!

I'll take a tough nose veteran defender who can shoot over morroison any day. Having him in your back pocket against players like Pierce, James, Carmelo if Ron gets into foul trouble would be a great asset.

People in here acting like Morrison is this proven player. Would you rather have Morrison or Bowen guarding the other teams star SF if Ron gets into foul trouble?

I would trade Sasha for him. Bowen has a expiring contract, is still a better defender than Sasha and he hits open 3's.

Yes it is a great plan. You give up a crap player for an older vet. Who the hell wouldn't do that? Morrison has proven that he doesn't have the talent to play in this league. Why try to develop him when the Lakers are trying to win now?

I'm glad you aren't the Lakers GM.

The report is that he's being shopped. Obviously the Bucks are going to try to get something in return before they just buy him out.

Yes, Morrison could be a valuable trade bait, but since he has proven he's simply not good enough to play in the NBA, why would any team want him besides his expiring? Besides, this is a great trade for the Lakers : They get rid of a player that doesn't even play for a proven older vet that only has to play spot minutes on this team.
