The following applies to Al Jefferson:

In addition, teams cannot trade players under the following circumstances:

For two months after receiving the player in trade or claiming him off waivers, if the player is being traded in combination with other players. However, the team is free to trade the player by himself (not packaged with other players) immediately. This restriction applies only to teams over the salary cap. (Also see question number 75 for a special case where players can be traded together in less than two months.)


So basically we'd be trading Bynum, Odom and Sasha for Williams since Okur is still f**ked up from his injury. Stupid idea. Now take your FAIL of a trade idea which isn't even possible and GTFO. /end thread.

Yeah that's not happening.

(1) Deron Williams is not on the trading block. That was simply a guess by a Western Conference official.

(2) I doubt Utah would deal him to a in conference rival much less a hated rival like the Lakers.

(3) Utah is not trading their best player for an injury prone center who hasn't played a full season since 2006-2007.

(4) Would the Lakers do it ? I doubt it. It wouldn't be the first time L.A. refused to deal Bynum for a star. I believe Mitch and co. refused to deal Bynum for Kevin Garnett, Jermaine O'Neal, and Chris Bosh.

(5) Quit using caps OP, it's sorta of akward and annoying.
