Can Lakers deal with Indiana?

Can the lakers get deal done with Indiana to land J.O'eal i LA? If Yes what would we give up?

No.

Bird said that's who he is going to build around and made that abundantly clear. Unless we want to part with Odom, Kwame, picks, and fillers; we don't have a chance at landing JO.

I would take JO and Granger for Odom, Mihm George and Cook

I'd do Mihm and Devean for Stephen Jackson, but I really doubt the Pacers would go for that

I think Stetphen Jackson is one of the players Bird will be looking to deal. J.O. has been crying for a center (Even though Bird says they already have three of them). So could the Lakers pull of that deal? Probably. Is that a deal the lakers would want to pull off? Probably not.

Jackson has the rep as being a hot head and one that doesn't show up on a consistent basis.

Would Bird deal with his hated rivals?

I'm sure Bird would deal with anyone if he was absolutely sure he was getting the better end of the trade. Any good GM would.

Bird trade with the lakers. That is like saying Superman and Lex Luthor will trade with each other.

Nah. Bird is pretty smart. If he gets a beneficial offer, he'd do it.

10 man trade...6 for 4...and use the money to sign Banks and others like Profit and Rush...then we are pretty good...but like I said...this might not be realistic in the real world...but it never hurts to try and think so....

13 man trade...8 for 5...but it is like the decent maybe almost starting 5 and then work it out there too so....

i'm pretty sure the pacers don't want to be next year's lakers
