Character, 1st, Cash for Calderon

Character, 1st, Cash for Calderon

Postby silversurfer on Wed Jan 18, 2012 3:45 pm

I figured out what move makes sense for us.

Character, 1st, future 2nd , cash and Odom trade exception

for
Calderon

I think this move puts us over the top.

Calderon is fierce, a true point, can shoot at a great clip
would boost Gasols morale.

He is 30 and will be efficient for another 3-4 years which is our window.

Cons: Defense but has good bball iq so our team d could improve and could play better defense then Fish or Blake.

Calderon is one of the most underrated players in this league and would shine in LA

Biggest con...... you can't include players with TPE's ....... only picks....

I was excited because I thought the FO found a way to turn that "character" Metta World Pine into a decent PG.

Then why did you include him in your trade proposal?

I'm convinced FO is either waiting for Brooks or Nash to become available, or will go for Deron.

Brooks isn't going to risk injury for a pro-rated portion of the Vet Minimum. He went to China because he wanted money.... not for the dumplings.....

If he gets injured he will loose out on his next contract....

I'd take Miller over Nash.... Not because I think Miller is a better point guard but because Miller offers a more complete player in an overall sense....

So basically, crap, injured crap and more crap for a 2nd/3rd tier PG who plays no D. :bricks:

what about

for Jarred Bayless
1st, future 2nd , cash , trade exception

I'm still high on him and would give us a very talented young man. He can score and play defense and would compliment the vets fisher and blake great.

Get Will Bynum from Pistons for picks. Send him to Orlando with Gasol for Howard & Anderson. Maybe they won't figure out, which Bynum they got. Then send the right Bynum to NJN for DWill. Do it Mitch
