Cap's at $53 mils, and we're way over.

Billups was the MVP of the Finals in '04, still one of the best pgs in the league, and is only 30 years old. Yet, he makes only $6.3 mils this year. He'll command a max salary of at least $15 mils a year when he opts out. Forget about it.

Would like to have him, but his talent would have to take a backseat to fit in our offense. Case closed.

we could do an S&T.

brown/mihm/parker for billups may do. i know brown is a big loss, but the way i lok at it, turiaf and bynum are good post defenders and we can always draft a good post defender in the 07 draft.

pg-billups/farmar
sg-bryant/evans
sf-walton/radmanovic
pf-odom/07 pick
c-bynum/turiaf

We have a good young nucleus. He'll stay in the East.

That is why we need a vet to get us over the top. Billups would be perfect. And Brown would be a reasonable cost to get him.
