Fisher waived by Dallas, sign him 2 end career as a Laker

Just heard on TWC Sportsnet that Derek Fisher has been waived by Dallas due to a knee injury. His statement was that he could play again and that this isn't retirement. I say we sign him to let him end his career as a Laker, and contribute those amazing end-of-game shots in the playoffs!

he said he doesnt want to retire and its likely hell play again. would be a waste of a roster spot here.

No thanks, we have Nash for end of game shots. Oh and Nash is old enough, we don't need another ancient PG backing him up.

I mean...I know I don't post here as much as I used to, but it's funny how I come back and some things never change. LOL

I wish Fisher the best for NO ! we already have long jam for our PG slot with Nash/Morris/Blake/Duhon, if he wants back with us as a coaching staff then is the another story thought

Duhon and Morris are more valuable at this point.

I'm cool with that, the problem is who we cut to sign him. I don't want to get rid of DJO...Earl Clark and DMO are guaranteed, and everyone else is too valuable to cut...maybe if we could trade Earl Clark for a second round pick, then yes..., but not at the expense of DJO. I would probably be willing to cut Morris for Fish, since Morris doesn't provide more than what Fisher could as the #4 PG, but the organization would be spending an extra 1.8 MIL on Fish (Who is out 2 weeks with a slight knee strain) and losing the 900+k they spent on DMO...I don't see it happening, but it IS a possibility.
