Detroit now has Dale Davis, but I don't know how much gas he has in the tank. Therefore, I woudn't be suprised if Detroit comes knocking. However, is there anyone on their rooster we want, who Detroit would deal?

I wouldn't mind having Chauncey Billups.

Billups has approx $6 million on his contract, with two years left, although the last year is a player option.

I dont think they will trade Billups. They would trade Billups for a PG + C that are worthy of starting. Billups going to Sactown for Bibby/Miller. Or to Memphis for L. Wright + ?.

Your proposed trade does appear more plausible from Detroit's perspective, but not from Sacto's perspective, particularly after how they improved late last year after Artest.

I think Sacto keeps their team together, at least for this year, based on last year's improvement.

Where does the Trade X come from, and a trade X can't be part of a package.

I like it. I think we could probably get something else out of the deal for Odom, but I can think of anyone on their team. Maybe another big.

Isn't it better to keep Lamar Odom, for the sake of continuity and to see this Jordan - Pippen expirement to its conclusion?

lakers trade:
brown
parker
cook
2007 1st round pick

pistons trade:
billups
mcdyess

all of the sudden, the pistons have a gaping hole at center with the loss of ben wallace. mcdyess, davis, and cato are out of their starting days and the team is continuing to age and deteriorate. they need some young pieces to work with for the future of this francise

the lakers have are just a defensive pg away from making it deep to the playoffs. its that simple

lineup:
pg-billups/farmar
sg-bryant/vujaic
sf-radmanovic/walton/evans
pf-odom/mcdyess/turiaf
c-mihm/bynum

Yeah, I'm sure the Pistons would jump at that trade offer. :bang:

This isn't so groundless.

Lakers Trade- Chris Mihm, Smush Parker, Brian Cook

T Wolves Trade- Marcus Banks, Eddie Griffin, First Round Pick

With Mike James the Timberwolves don't need Marcus Banks so much, Smush would be a good backup point guard. They also get a starting Center to fill their hole at that position.

Chris Mihm is expendable because of Kwame, and Griffin/Bynum could split time going in at Center. They also get the defensive oriented point guard they've been wanting.
Out
Shaquille O'neal

In
Lamar Odom
Jordan Farmar
Pau Gasol

i like what we get, but the twolves would have to be :smoker: to do that trade. how about this:

lakers trade:
chris mihm
smush parker
jordan farmar

twolves trade:
randy foye
eddie griffin

pg-foye
sg-bryant
sf-radmanovic
pf-odom
c-brown

i dont know if the salaries match, but im liking this trade better

well basically I am bored. And would like to see this done.

Current Roster:

Smush/Shammond/Sasha/Farmar/McKie
Kobe/Evans/Wafer
Vlad/Luke/DG(FA)
Lamar/Cook/Turiaf
Kwame/Mihm/Bynum

Current Needs: We have an abundance of PGs, but they are all mediocre.
Would prefer a shotblocking PF.
People that should be traded: Smush/Sasha/McKie/Cook/Mihm.

Possible Scenarios

Trade Mihm/McKie/Smush to TWolves for Eddie Griffen/Resigned Banks/2007 1st
Trade Sasha/Cook for a 3rd string veteran big man

Banks/Sham/Farmar
Kobe/Evans/Pinnock
Vlad/Luke
Lamar/Griffen/Turiaf
Kwame/Bynum/??

Trade Mihm/McKie for Eddie Griffen/ 2007 1st
Trade Cook/Smush for Brevin Knight/2007 pick
Trade Sasha to Denver for 2 future 2nds

same as above but Knight instead of Banks

Trade Mihm/Cook/Smush for Melvin Ely/Knight
Trade re-signed DG for re-signed Marcus Banks

Banks/Knight/Farmar/Sham
Kobe/Evans/Pinnock
Vlad/Luke
Odom/Ely/Turiaf
Kwame/Bynum

Knicks are not the team to trade Sasha to. No way Boston does that deal. West is a keeper, and mihm>perkins

lakers trade:
radmanovic (once he is trade-able)

warriors trade:
foyle
2007 1st rd pick

foyle will provide rebounding, defense, and shot blocking for us. cook isnt that less of a player than radmanovic. we also get a 1st rd pick to play around with.
