I bolded the part that would make this trade be a failure. Kwame and Gilbert on the same team again? Not gonna happen.

Everyone in and around the organization says we need one good player away.I was thinking they should try and get k mart hes an all star and could be the missing link.I understand it's a gamble but you need to take chances if ur to get back to the top.

His radioactive contract and knee problems aren't worth it imo. Even if healthy, he isn't any "missing piece". I don't see how he improves us that much anyways.

i agree because we need some shotblocking and athleticism at the pf spot. kmart provides that. mihm, cook, mckie, and trade x would work. we would be instant contendors for the title if we had kmart. harrington or miles would make us a lot better as well.

IMO a healthy KMart is EXACTLY what we need. He is an atheltic PF that can play defense, block shots, and hit a midrange jumper. He has a load of playoff experience (including 2 finals). With him and an improvement at PG, we could be in good shape for a championship run. Too bad we dont have anything to trade for him. But a lineup of

Smush/Farmar/Shamu
Kobe/Evans/Sasha
Lamar/Luke
KMart/Vlad/Turiaf
Kwame/Mihm/Bynum

would be sick.

Ye if we still had Brian Grant we could make a preety decent package 2gether,it would be a risk but a think it would be worth it.

That team has a nice future with Drew,AI,Famer. And to the trade take out Mimh replace him with Vlad(dec 15) and then maybe.Chris could maybe put up 1 more 20-10-4 season in the tri.We would also have tons of cap-space in 08 with Kobe,Drew and Farmer(26mill) with contracts.Emeka,G.Wallace,V.Carter,Deng,Gordan,Dirk,Billups and D.Howard as the main free-agents.We should be able to get atleast one of them

In a perfect world in 08
Drew,*Kwame or *Chris
Dirk,*Weber or Ronny
AI,Luke
Kobe,Evans
Farmer,Smush
*depends on how much they want

When you I think about I knind of like this deal

Lamar is not going anywhere. Why can't people see that? If Dr. Buss did not want to pay Shaq more than 60 million what makes you think he is going to pay C-Webb 60 million?

pf-stoudemire
c-bynum

JAZZ TRADE: deron williams
JAZZ GET: jordan farmar, josh childress

pg-brewer

HAWKS TRADE: joe johnson, josh childress

SUNS TRADE: amare stoudemire, raja bell, 1st rd pick
SUNS GET: kobe bryant

pg-nash
sg-barbosa
sf-bryant
pf-marion
c-diaw

jazz become more athletic and deeper. they lose an potential allstar in the making.

hawks get MUCH deeper and better defensively. they lose their best scoring option

suns unload a player that is not needed in their system and obtain the best player in the league. they could be losing the best big man in the league in the process.

lakers fill all needs and have future and present all stars at every posistion. they lose the heart and soul of the lakers, and to some that is not replacable.

Chris Mimh and smush parker, 2nd round pick for carlos arroyo

Smush gives Orlando a back up point guard with jameer being the future, puts battie at the bench with mimh to start (once healthy)

We get the immediate help point guard we need while we wait for farmar. Dont know much about arroyos defense, but i know he will at least make the other point guard work on the defensive end with his quickness.

would you do?...

Postby JustLakers on Fri Nov 17, 2006 10:21 am

i heard earl watson wasn't too happy in seattle..

and odom seems so inconsistent...

smush and odom for watson and lewis?

lewis has played with ray allen and i think he can work well with kobe. he also looks more consistent than lamar.

Boston's stuck with a bad contract in Scalabrine, and Delonte West is outside looking in with Telfair in the picture.

Cook+Sasha for Delonte + Scalabrine?

Salaries match. We don't play Cook anyway so its like Sasha for Delonte- We take on a bad contract in Scalabrine and get the long defender at 1 that we need.

How long is Scalabrine's contract for tho? I don't want to be paying it for 3 or 4 years. Even 2 years is a bit.
