Groundless Trade Ideas

Almost every thread in this forum is a trade idea. A lot of the ideas are very similar too. And the worst part about it is, none of the threads get locked. Those posters will never learn if their groundless trade ideas don't get locked. They'll think it's perfectly fine to post trade ideas in this forum.

We thought about it alot Crispy and we came to the conclusion that if we lock all this threads, the trade rumor forum will be dead forever...

if there is a true rumor, its usually discussed in LD anyway, if its a fake rumor it goes to groundless idea thread...so what is this forum good for? the answer would be nothing. But we need to keep this forum, because trade rumors is the mostly tipped phrase in search engines and it puts Clublakers right there among the leading forums...

so in order to remain there we have to keep this forum and we decided to "open it up" to make sure at least those who enjoy making insane trade ideas would not spam Lakers Discussion but put their ideas here...

it keeps LD clean, it makes this forum come alive and it can develop and improve over the time...there is nothing wrong with discussing good proposals...its the off-season, there isn´t much to talk about anyway. But the quality of this threads definitely need to go up. Some are just insane and some are just horrible for us.

I've been wondering myself why CL doesn't rename this forum to something simple like "Lakers Trade Talk." Obviously a forum was given the title of "Lakers Trade Rumors" but there really isn't enough material to support an entire forum, and actual trade rumors are rightfully generated from a very few "connected" people. A "Lakers Trade Rumors" sticky would make sense inside an umbrella forum called "Lakers Trade Talk." Then all the topics and postings we see inside this forum would actually "fit." Just my two cents.
