David Lee is still available, do you think he could help? Would he be a good fit if we cant sign Lamar?

i don't think he would be a great fit on the lakers. he doesn't seem to play a particular position that we are lacking. gasol and bynum are both going to get a lot of PT

Would only work if Lakers took back Jeffries or Curry's salary since Lee would be a BYC.

Maybe NY would do Odom and Morrison for Chandler, Lee and Curry. Lakers would have to bring back a lot of salary though, so it is very unlikely, but NY would probably do this to get Curry or Jeffries off the books for 2010 and replace that cap space with LO.

Don't think he'd be a good fit in LA with the Tri. Seems more of a run-n-gun type of 4/5, better suited for NYK's offense than ours. He's good though...

Lee is a good player who gives you 100% every night. That said, the only way to get him would be a S&T and since he is a compensation year player that would amount to a massive luxury tax hit to Jerry Buss. In other words, it AINT GONNA HAPPEN.

Lee wants $10m+ per year. Lakers won't pay Odom that, what makes you think we'd pay David Lee that?

Plus all we have to offer in a S&T is LO. LO doesn't want to sign a one year deal and NY won't sign anyone to a long term deal when they're trying to net Bron next summer.

Weezy.I am sorry but, that is not true.
We are already $ 14 mil. over the salary cup with just 12 players, not counting Lamar, of course.
Now. LO is very adamant about $ 10 mil per year for 5 years.
Do you think, David Lee will ask for that much? Does he deserves that kind of money?
If Lamar is gone, we have an option to make a sign & trade deal with the Kniks. We can offer a package of J.Farmar, A.Morrison and J.Powell for D.Lee.
The combine value of our players is total of $ 8.0 mil and all of them are Free Agents next summer, which is perfect for the Kniks, since, they are looking to open a salary space for next Free Agent market. Lee is young and one of the most talented power forwards in the league. He can be a great investment for years to come.
We can also make a trade for Udonis Haslem, Tyrus Thomas,Hakim Warrick, Brandan Wright & Brandon Bass.
As a matter of fact, a trade is a must for M.Kupchak in order to download some money from our payrol. Otherwise, Dr.Buss will have to pay arround $ 25 mil. in Luxury Tax.
