A Lakers and Pistons trade???

A Lakers and Pistons trade???

Postby kobe4pres08 on Mon Jun 05, 2006 12:25 am

Proposed Trade:
Lakers
Outgoing:
K. Brown
A. Bynum

Incoming:
Ben Wallace
C. Delfino

Could work well for both teams.
LA gets an interior force with Wallace as well as Delfino, A 6'6 guard that would fit into triangle system.

Detroit gets younger with K. Brown and A. Bynum, with these to players team up with R. Wallace, McDyess, and Dale Davis...There interior players are still good enough to compete for the title while getting younger.
Lakers...Your 2007 World Champs!!!

:bang:
Lakers
We would be giving up too much future potential for a guy who would command aleast 10 mil a year and has limited offensive skills. Think of Shaq, but smaller and limited offensive skills.

Detroit
Would they be willing to take on another project (Bynum). after their failed experiment with Milicic, though this time around it might be differn't

Wallace is a proven winner, but we'll get better help looking elsewhere, trading for Wallace would also mess up our 08 plan. I think I would sign Bosh in 08 rather than trading for Big Ben now.

I like Delfino, but we would be much better off getting banks with the MLE, without having to give up anyone[/b]

Agreed, Big Ben's best days are behind him. Riley showed you can get in his head by hacking-a-wallace.

Bynum's best days are ahead of him and should not be traded for anyone not named Garnett or Iverson.

Wallace would have to re-sign for less than he can probably make. I'm really doubting that Detroit makes that trade. We still need a PF or SF. Useless.

Funny, I'd trade him for:

Billups
Wade
LeBron
Hinrich
JO
Brand
D. Howard
Amare
Marion
Gasol
Okafor
G. Wallace
Duncan
Artest
Bosh
Carmello

I don't think I need to go on any further.

How many of those players are on the market? Of course you do it if they offer freaking LeBron or Duncan. I think that was self-explanatory.
No way for Gerald Wallace. No way for Brokeback Okafor. The rest? No S

I guess I took it out of context, I thought you were actually implying you wouldn't have traded Bynum for basically anyone in the league.

Wait, you're telling me that you wouldn't trade Bynum for Amare? Okafor? ARTEST?

With any three of those players, we become an instant contender.

Not Wade or Marion or Gasol or Hinrich? Bynum has a chance to be those guys, but those guys ARE those guys. We get those here while Kobe enters his prime and it's money. (Okafor doesn't interest me, I'd be surprised if Bynum doesn't put up 14 and 10 very soon.)

IMO Wade would bend over for Kobe like he's doing for Shaq, saying all the right things. Wade can play PG, too.
My mouth waters thinking about it. Wade penetrates and dishes to Kobe, or Kobe gets doubled in the post and hits Wade for a weakside oop.

Wade
Kobe
Lamar
FA PF
Kwame
=Instant WC Finals.

Not Wade huh.

Personally, I think this line-up looks good.

PG- Parker
SG- Wade
SF- Bryant
PF-Odom
C-Kwame

Wade would be so good in the triangle it's not even funny. There isn't a need for a traditional PG in the system and I'm confident Bryant and Wade would be pretty good as our back-court.
