Lakers/Cavs/Suns Trade?

Lakers/Cavs/Suns Trade?

Postby vaheblings on Thu Feb 05, 2009 4:27 pm

Lakers Get: Shaquille O'Neal, Grant Hill, Jared Dudley

Cavs Get: Amare Stoudemire, Vladimir Radmanovic, Luke Walton

Suns Get: Lamar Odom (Expiring) Wally Szczerbiak (Expiring) Eric Snow (Expiring) Chris Mihm (Expiring) Aleksandar Pavlovic

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to L.A. Lakers, Cleveland, and Phoenix being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. L.A. Lakers, Cleveland, and Phoenix had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The Suns Clear Cap Space & Lakers & Cavs get great peices to add to there title run.

Lakers:
Shaq/Bynum
Gasol/Powll/Dudley
Ariza/Hill
Kobe/Sasha
Fish/Farmar/Yue

Cavs:
Wallace
Amare
James
West
Williams

pass. Lamar does too much for this team. The Lakers don't want Shaq right now. Too much contract, too much baggage. They'll wait until he starts to want rings more than money : namely a year or two.

No, just most. Like this idea. This idea involves three teams, which is a rarity. It involves a ton of money which is more of a rarity. It involves helping two top teams which is also a rarity.

I LIKE it! lol...besides realdeal....Snaq expires next yr, whats the big deal? A motivated Snaq might offset Bynum loss just a bit and Hill would def. fix our starting SF issue or even backup....besides how can you say no to this? Luke & Vlad is gone, can't emphasize the AND! part enough hahahahahaha.

Okay let's say this really quickly... Why in the hell would the Cavs take on Radmanovic and Walton?? They, just like every other team, are trying to clear cap for 2010 to give LeBron all the money he could ask for.

So we don't just trade Lamar for Shaq, we hand the Cavs Amare for nothing. Great idea. Ya, we get rid of Luke and Vlad, but we make Cleveland so much better.

Amare just gona be like he is NOW, moaning and groaning cause he's not the focal point on O anyways when gets to Clev.....Also just cause Cavs. get on Walton/Rad doesn't mean they can't afford Lebron just means they're be in a higher tax penalty

I doubt the Suns would give up Amare and Shaq. This trade is only wishful thinking for Cavs fans. The only element I like about this trade for the Lakers is getting rid of Chrism Mihm and Luke.

Giving the Cavs Amare is hardly worth it for us to dump those players. LeBron and Amare (with Z, Mo, Delonte, Hickson, Wallace) crushes the league.

Why would we want to give up LO? And we finally have a team that has great chemistry. You throw Shaq in the mix and everything goes bad!
