Larry Hughes

Larry Hughes

Larry Hughes would be a great addition to the line up

Larry Hughes
Kobe Bryant
Lamar Odom
Vladimir Radmonovic
Kwame Brown

They could get rid of Cooky, Mihm, and maybe even Sasha

Not really. He needs too many shots to be effective and he isn't really a pg. He is more of a SG. Now Hughes coming in when Kobe is on the bench is another thing...

Also, the fact that we signed a player that is similar to Hughes (shammond) cancels out any notion of getting Hughes. Not gonna happen.

Larry is bigger, and can pass it around if the play calls for it, I am down with Hughes and I think he can make a big impact if he comes into L.A. There is no way we could put someone with that much talent on the bench.

can´t shoot. needs the ball in his hands. ugly contract. injury prone. gambles too much on defense.

IF he wasn't injury pron yes.

Tex said we need another SG so kobe can play at SF in the triangle ala MJ. Whatever Tex says is the law.

Larry Hughes needs to learn how to PASS the ball before he becomes a Laker. Hughes has a nice game, but he's the biggest 'selfer' I think I've ever seen touch a basketball court. Yes, over Kobe. Yes, over Jordan.

Well I don't like the fit at all..Hes injury prone and he has a ugly contract...But one thing I don't agree with is his passing, this guy is a pretty good passer with the Wiz he avg 4.7 ast a game...Hes not that bad of a passer at all.

Could have had him a few years ago for the MLE but Mitch opted for the Great Devean George :man10:

Just put him in a situation where he is going to be forced to pass more and he will the guy has the ability to do whatever he needs to do, and with a good coach (phil) with a track record for setting players straight (kwame) he could become a legit player for LA and a talent that would be incredibly beneficial.

The only guard the Lakers have that's better than Larry Hughes is Kobe. I knock Larry Hughes for being a career ballhog, moreso than the Kobes, Jordans, Iversons, Ricky Davises, etc, because those guys IMO have all been better shooters.

Hey, did I just mention Ricky Davis with that pack?? :bang:

I'd trade Smush for Larry Hughes anyday. I'd trade Sasha for Hughes, I'd trade any of the young guards we have for Larry Hughes. No doubt.

I think we're weakest at the small forward position, personally. In today's game we can live without the worlds' best p.g. IMO.

We have enough guards.. and Hughes i think is a restricted free agent and the Lakers do not have money to shell out to any unrestricted free agent, much less a restricted one at that.

Lakers have 2 chances to get Larry Hughes, slim and none, and slim has just departed. Honestly people, what assets do we have to trade? Keep in mind that Odom, Bynum, and Kobe are on lockdown.

I heard from hoopsworld that Larry could be a laker in the next couple of weeks. There weren't a lot of details though.

LH would be ideal IMO. he can play the 1. Is long can and has played D, plus PJ could get the most out of him which would be nice.

would be a long, young line up. If we are in this constant chase of saving $$$ for "that guy" we will be forever a year a way

No comparison to Manu, but Hughs would be a great addition. Throw in head and we would have really made out.

Ballhog? :man3:

He thrived alongside Gilbert Arenas...

He was leading the league in steals a couple seasons ago before injury...

He is FAST and can create his own shot. Not too good of a shooter, can be quite deadly when hot tho.

Gets alot of points off of drives and layups... good scorer...

Played very very well with the wizards.... hasnt shown up in cleveland.

Chris Mihm
Aaron McKie
Brian Cook
Smush Parker
Sasha Vujacic
Von Wafer

for

Larry Hughes

Works on realgm.com

Larry/Farmar
Kobe/Evans/Green
Vlade/Walton
Lamar/Turiaf
Kwame/Bynum

Would leave the roster very thin... Unlikely Cleveland would take all of our bench/role players for Hughes anyway. If they intend on dumping Hughes, I'd imagine they could get a better deal elsewhere.

I hate to say it but, I think our roster is set, at least until the trade deadline (when our last year player contracts become their most valuable).

there is no need to get rid of that many players, some of them and future draft consids.
