I like this trade too.... who are we really giving up? Mihm who unfortunately is one of the only guys that has any trade value on the lakers squad...cook that's very 1 dimensional and mckie who got paid 2.5 million dollars to play 25minutes all season?

Don't really like getting Miles because he can be a locker room cancer but at least he's got some game and can contribute...and I'm sure alot of people would be happy with Blake. I personally love the kid's game...and a extra draft pick is nice too

True or False, I hate the trade idea.

Underachieving compared to what? 14-6, was a very effective defender this past season.

No trades can be made during playoffs.

Although this trade is a lie, teams out of the playoffs CAN make trades now.

It's BS.

BTW, trades now are possible. The Richmond/Webber trade happened during the playoffs.

If true...I saw not bad...Blake (Good PG) Miles (Back-up for Odom...first back-up) and the 30th pick!!!!! And we lose crappy/injury case and MLE waster (McKie), Cook (played well and thank him for it), and Mihm (same as Cook)...

For us haveing Kwame and Bynum...I say that is a good deal...IF TRUE...I am up for this deal...LET'S GET IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't lock..just changes the title to WHATabout blake and miles..

And yes ..we can make trades now..as long as a the team in not in the play-offs...we can talk to FA's July 1st..we can sign FA's either after the 11th or the 15th..

Trade is false but I wouldnt mind the deal at all. Its actually a pretty nice porpostion. Miles might carry a lil baggage but I think under the supervision of Kobe and Phil, hell get his act together. Theirs no doubt he has untapped potetional and talent. Blake is a guy I wanted us to pick up last summer. Plus we get another first rounder. Blazers get to get rid of Miles and gets to clear the logjam they have at the point guard position. Also gets an extra center in case Pryz sighns with another team. Good deal.

Blake/Smush/Sasha
Kobe/Profit/Wafer
Miles/Walton
Odom/Turiaf
Brown/Bynum

MLE, #26 pick, #30 pick, Vets.

The answer is yes. Trades can occur while the playoffs are still in swing, as long as neither team is in the playoffs. They don't happen very often, but it is possible.

that would be a GREAT deal for the Lakers. Finally some athleticim and a guy who is one Phil Jackson away from being a very good NBA player. And Blake would be a very solid addition too-

What about a deal like this???

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=981~267~372~539~617~2421~1994~550~682~2795~1703~246~2787&teams=26~9~26~26~22~9~13~13~13~13~13~13~13

It would take care of our holes and problems...it would hurt the '08 just a bit...but then we can go and work...and we still have some people to play like center and everything and still be young and all. If we did a deal like this...we might have to add like a butt load of picks and money...but heck...I doubt anyone would mind that part of it...

Who's up for a deal like this???
