Should we had traded for Artest when we had the chance?

Right now i would prefer his defense and passion over the what we are getting from LO right now. We needtughness and not getting Artest was a mistake

I like artests defense, toughness and scoring abilities. He'd be perfect in the post. He's really controlled his temper and attitude. But if we could've gotten Battier instead, then yes!

Btw, Imagine lakers are down 5 in the last 2 minutes and you have Artest just jacking up shots from halfcourt over 3 guys....>WTF!

Short answer yes. Shorter answer no. His track record wasnt a good one considering what he did to his last 2 teams. It was a gamble which the organization didnt want to take, risking breaking up which was good chemistry. Hindsight is always 20/20.

Any day, every day. At this point, I'd take Artest for any player on our roster except Kobe and there is one simple reason: he plays with real heart. I wouldn't have said that before, but after watching this series, I see what the guy can bring. He's a load to handle on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

There's no denying his talents, physicality and determination.
Derek Fisher is the heart and soul of this team- Kobe(Black Mamba)
When we win it, it's going to taste much sweeter knowing I played with the injury- Andrew(Lionheart)

Guys you know that the Maloofs won't ever trade with us because they don't like us, and why do you think they sent him to Houston for. I'll tell you why it was all part of their plan to destory the Lakers by trading Artest to team that can beat us.

after this season and series Artest is looking to get paid and Hou. will most likely comply considering Tmac health and their success with Yao/Artest.....
