WE SHOULD SIGN AND TRADE FOR J ROSE IF WE DON'T GET DANIELS

WE COULD SENT D GEORGE,SLAVA AND B COOK (ALL BENCH PLAYERS WITH NO SHOT OF GETTING ANY REAL SIGNIFICANT PT HERE) FOR J ROSE AND MAYBE A ANOTHER PLAYER LIKE MILT PALICIO OR ALVIN WILLIAMS TO HAVE A VET PG AND A SOLID BACKUP

USE THE MLE FOR ANOTHER NEED

LINEUP:

PG: J ROSE/PALICIO
SG: KOBE/ JJ/WAFER
SF:ODOM/LUKE
PF:BROWN/GRANT/ RT
C:MIHM/(D DAVIS IF VLADE REALLY DOESN'T COME BACK)/BYNUM

i'm not sure if he would be a good fit he has had a significant decline since the 2001-02 season. he might be the most overrated player in the NBA. his shooting and his defense are subpar, however he's is still a good passer

i think he's making close to $15 million for 2006-2007 season, but his contract ends after this upcoming season. so unless we can dump grant in this trade i don't see how the numbers would fit...has anyone figured out possible trades for rose? what is possible?

i know phil like big guards, but someone who can shoot the three would probably be better, plus he likes to have the ball a lot and loves to shoot- that's the last thing we need...it has been rumored that the lakers bring back pargo, if no deal is met with AD

we shall soon see :man1:

we cant sign and trade for him, he's not a free agent and assuming he gets waived, the raptors arent allowed to sign him back until his contract expires

so signing him post-waive would be the only way of getting him for less than 15 mill next year

Please! of course the lakers need jalen rose. and don't need antonio daniels. For two reasons
1. Daniels is overrated
2. Jalen Rose is a superior player.

Rose can handle the ball and score but is not known as a defender ... which AD is. The Lakers need someone in the back court who can bring up the ball and defend thus, AD > Rose. Not to mention Rose's K is for $15 (til 07). AD is being offered the MLE.
