Small Miami/Laker trade

Jordan Farmar and Josh Powell for Dorell Wright. The Heat has Chris Quinn backing up Chalmers and will not sign a vet FA pg. Farmar gives the HEAT a quality backup or atleast better than Quinn that has an expiring contract. The HEAT are also desperate for PF Depth as they are working out the world famous S. Randolph. Wright who the HEAT are trying to dump gives the Lakers another young, long, athletic player who can handle the ball and pass. Wright is also a very good rebounder and defender. He is also expiring so no long term salary.

I wouldn't want to trade Farmar now while his stock is so low. We've all seen what kind of talent he has. He just couldn't ever get into a rhythm this past season for one reason or another. I think he has a nice bounce-back year for us next season and assumes the role as D-Fish's heir-apparent as our starting PG of the future.

Plus, I just don't think very much of Wright.
Every time you want to unload on CL about how terrible our Ownership/Front Office is, I want you to step back, take a deep breath and read THIS.

^^^^ All very good and understandable points. You have to admit that Wright is the kind of player that excels on the Lakers (Ariza, Shannon). Mitch has shown that he always tries to get players he wanted to draft. He tried to get Wright in the Shaq trade.
