Anthony Morrow, Corey Brewer, Trevor Ariza, Martell Webster

Imagine if we trade Gasol for a pick to draft the successor to Nash.
Kabongo, some sort of young up coming PG

2013 Lakers will be young and exciting like in 2007

Clark Hill
MWP Rush
Kobe Morris/Meeks
Nash Blake/Rookie

Morris can play too, expect him to get better and in the rotation! Suddenly in one offseason we will be young with just three older players, Nash, Kobe, MWP

No offense, but I hope to god that Sacre is not our future backup for Dwight, Morris is not our future backup to Kobe, and Blake or some unknown rookie is not our future backup to Nash. Also, I like Clark, but he's had like 4 out of 5 good games now, I don know about naming him our future starting PF either, I'd hope we could do better and make him the backup if he keeps up the good play. We're trying to win titles, not field a roster of young, cheap players, though I do like Brandon Rush.

Is Rush a FA this summer? Thought he signed a deal last summer before blowing out his knee?

If not, wow, that sucks. Blowing out your knee in a contract year.

OP, I like some of your ideas, but some are a bit too optimistic at this point, IMO. I'm hoping that Clarke continues to develop and that we can find a successor to Nash at PG, but even then, we'd have to take back contracts to match most likely.

This team's management has not shown a willingness or preference to develop the team through the draft. It's usually fringe rotation players that are drafted in the 2nd round that stick on this team.

I do like your approach, but some of moves will depend on how the rest of this season plays out.

Hopefully Clark doesnt take a step back when Gasol returns. Sacre is a big body hard worker, who I think can play in this league. Anthony Morrow would be sweet, man he can shoot and best friends with Dwight. Morris shows he can play good defense, and is improving as a shooter. Has good handles for a guard, has some signs of getting to the rim, still young. I'm alot higher on Morris after seeing what he is capable of this season.

Clark, Howard, and a solid athletic wing would be sweet (forgot to mention LAs Dorrell Wright )

We can buy out Duhon who is basically the same player as Blake. Blake could be retained as insurance to a potential young point guard.

we would have 11 man on the roster, so we could take on some more guys in a Gasol summer move

Remember we wanted him, and he wanted to come here but he was restricted last summer
