Dont you think we can take advantage of the knicks in some other way? Francis has a bad contract and "headaches"....let alone some other injuries i cant even remember to name. How bout we get the Knicks 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 uprotected first round draft picks in exchange for sasha. I hear Isiah loves him.

Steve Francis is the man but I dont think he would fit good in the Triangle. He is a slasher and needs the ball in his hands alot. I think we are good at the point guard position for now. Smush and Farmar will hold it down. I wouldnt mind seeing Sasha traded though for a shot blocker.

for Mihm and Cook or other fillers I don't mind. Phil can turn him into a good player. I'm just scared of injuries. and that we might have another Odom who takes a year to learn the triangle.

The 'Franchise' makes too much money. Realgm.com is a really good site to tell you what and which of the Laker players would take to trade for a player like Francis.

He needs the ball to be effective but then again, he worked well with Kobe during one all-star game. The other is Farmar...he looks like the real deal and the Lakers have a bigger need at center/pf right now. It's time the Lakers need to think about balancing the positions.

Stevie Franchise would be an excellent option, if we were heading in a completely different direction. Phil hasn't been known to favor big time point guards throughout his career, but I remember him having very keen interests in Jason Terry and Gilbert Arenas a few years ago, so you never know. This would fill in Jackson's 'veteran backcourt scorer' that he so direly wanted. This is not a dead rumor guys, Francis was nearly dealt for Odom at the trade deadline, so it's possible. But in all likely hood, if anyone on that Knicks team should be traded, it should be No.3.

Only for Mihm, Cook, resigned George, and Smush. As much as I don't favor Francis, for that package, I'd pull the trigger.

I'm not a huge fan of his but he'd be an upgrade, that's for sure.

Nobody could make the argument that with SUPERSTAR Stevie Franchise playing PG instead of Smush that the lakers would be a better team, Big names work in LA. Magic, Kareem, and Worthy. Kobe and Shaq. Wilt and West. Come on all he would do is help, yes he can be coached into a different player and still be a superstar, it is not unheard of to have a PG that passes a lot get respect and become acclaimed (NBA MVP Steve Nash) It can happen in LA as well, if we could get him we should.

Yeah Washington said the same thing about Kwame...Phil can change anything he has been known to deal with a couple of big names before (michael jordan, scottie pippen, dennis rodman, kobe bryant, shaquile o'neal, gary payton, karl malone...) And he has been fairly successful, 9 rings 10 championship appearances. So no Steve won't equal cancer, if anything steve=savior.

No, if anything, Steve = cancer. He's a ballhog, even moreso than they claim Kobe to be, he takes way too many shots. He's not so much a point guard as a shooting guard in a point guards body and finaly as has been said he makes WAY too much money. Steve only seems to care about Steve.
