I think the plan was to pick him up in 07' if anything....

Man, LeBron is Cleveland's franchise player. THere's NO WAY they would let him go.

Cleveland is not letting him go, but he can get away from them. Hopefully he want to learn from the best clutch player in the game

The thing is that Lebron is realizing he isnt having much success right now in Cleveland and hearing from what he says about kobe i think he will be willing to play with him in LA...it all depends on LeBron i think if he wants out...i think Lebron-Kobe is a great combination... Lebron is more magic johnson than michael jordan... so he needs scorers and good defensive players around him to be successful

That is something that will never happen. Plus Lebron does not play like magic johnson what so ever. He is averaging 30 pts a game. Magic never did that. Magic averaged about 12 assists a game. Lebron never did that. Lamar Odom is closer to magic johnson than Lebron James is and will ever be. I am not saying that Odom is better than Lebron(because he isn't), but two scorer type players who play almost the same position on the same team does not work. The only way two big scorers work well together is when one is a big man (center/power forward) and the other is a guard. You guys are dreaming. Once Bynum is good, maybe in a year to two years(he looked good against Shaq when he was in against Miami) the Lakers will be unstoppable. Kobe-Bynum just like Kobe-Shaq, but this time with a ball distributor like Lamar Odom will be an amozing force.

This is just litter in the wrong forum. There are a ton of "LeBron to L.A. threads."

it's not about cavs it's about LJ. he couldn't reach playoff in years. this year they had a good start but they lost 5 in arow and go behind pacs. i think lebron will come to L.A. there isn't such a team that his basketball reach top. he can learn muck from kobe.

Just answer one question , why The KING JAMES will come to be the 2nd player after Kobe? he is playing in the same position almost, tell me what the lakers will give , Clevland will not?????
If the answer is Championship , he is young and he can get all the players around him there and get a championship.
Go back and try to remember in the offseason when we had hopes that we can get Yao or Amare , they inked them for a long time .

first if he stayed on the lakers he would be able to play w/them after Kobe retired
LJ learns from the greatest palyer in the league
the last shot would go to Kobe because even Lebron knows Kobe is more clutch
the only problem is how would they decide who got the ball more and who gets to take more shots

Lebron is going to sign a contract extension soon and Cleveland would never let him go.

I'm hoping Orlando steals him. He won't win in Cleveland. Hope he wakes up quicker than KG.

It's a lovefest between Cleveland and Lebron, so I guess he'd probably stay there for the meantime. Sharing the spotlight with Kobe won't exactly benefit himself. His stats, especially scoring, would drop. Sharing the ball issues would arise. In order to co-exist, one has to give way, and I don't think either will. The only chance we get to sign Lebron is when he does a Malone, when he's old and accomplished so much does anything, even getting a huge paycut just to play for a contender.
