Yo i forgot where i heard this from, but i heard that derek anderson mite be cut cuz of the luxury amnesty, and the lakers mite kopp him if he does. Thats good news, we mite have a good point guard even tho hes a 2gaurd, but imagine anderson and bryant backcourt, thatll be nuts for defenders. Thats just incase if we dont pick up D-fish. And kwame finally has become a laker ..finally, and we unloaded sucky atkins....so 98% of our offseason moves are done.. :jam2:

D.A. to the Lakers is great news IMO. He doesn't need to play point, just defend point guards decently. Lamar and Kobe will take care of the majority of the point responsibilities. This should be good, he's not Ron Harper, but he's talented nonetheless.

If we sign him, hopefully he can be the second coming of Ron Harper.

Speaking of Ron Harper......he should be considered for an assistant coach for the Lakers.

DA would be a great addition. Phil would really go for this because we need a pg badly and he would be the perfect fit for his system!!!!

I don't know if you've ever spoken with Ron Harper. He stutters pretty badly. I don't want to say that's bad but Kobe once fired of 5 or 6 insults at him while he was forcing out a sentance. I don't think that's a good player-coach relationship starting point.

I think the stuttering thing could be a problem if this was an ordinary guy. He's not though, he's an accomplished player who was a star and later accepted a role on a team, something that other players should emulate. The way that I look at it is that when he talks, players would be doing themselves a favor by listening. I'd love to have him as an assistant, but that is a legitimate concern about the stuttering.

In the height of the Bryant Colorado scandal, Harper called Kobe to offer his support and then let the media know that he did so. He said he always has maintained a good relationship with Kobe and wanted to know that he was behind him. Sounds like their relationship is fine and I would like a link to the stuttering/insulting incident. Harper is a stutterer and has no qualms about speaking to the media, players, or anyone else. Harp is from Cleveland and works for the Cavs, so I believe he is not available to us as a coach.
