Only if the Grizz want to hand over Gay as well.

Why take 5 steps back with a trade like that?

Thabeet has virtually no offensive game to speak of.

neither does AB, look at what he did in the playoffs.

I am sure Thabeet would have a bigger impact then Drew does.

So where were you the last two seasons before Drew got hurt? And really, how well did you expect Drew to play coming off a ligament tear? He didn't have to come back, but he did so he could help the team in any way.

Bynum has an injury excuse, Thabeet doesn't.

I'd trust Mbenga more on the offensive end than I would Thabeet right now.

^So what? Andrew Bynum is better, and will always be better than Thabeet.

HT has bust written all over him to me...

edit: not necessarily bust, but his ceiling seems like nothing more than a shotblocker/rebounder. we'll see.

And that is bad, shotblocker and rebounder sounds like he can be the next Dwight Howard

Have you seen Thabeet play?

He's either going to be a homeless man's Deke. Or similar to Dalembert.

Dwight is arguably the best two way big man in the game today. Thabeet will never under any circumstance be confused as the best big in the game at any point in his career, I will personally guarantee you that.

^Agreed JSM.

Bynum can be/is a shotblocker/rebounder AND a big man with a polished offensive game. It doesn't make sense to trade for thabeet when he is EXTREMELY underdeveloped + has a lower ceiling than Bynum , especially when we are in 'win now' mode. Lets not forget that he Thabeet is a few months older than Bynum, except bynum now has championship playoff experience.

^ So lets say 2009 comes and we still continue to see the same AB, no progress at all still not a diffrence maker. Should he be traded then?

Perhaps depending on what could be had. Personally I keep him. Looking at the Cavs, Spurs, Portland, Orlando, Celtics etc... the one true team advantage we have over those teams is our three headed monster down low. Unless we get someone really good for Bynum we would have to play more a game of "whoever shoots better wins."

Mbenga is better than HT, who has no offensive game at all. I will trade AB for Gay and Gasol and 1st pick , now it makes sense.
Magic , the only way to bring back the go0d old days.
