bonzi wells is a really underrated player. but him and artest dont go well together. their games are too similar. if either kobe/lamar/wells could play pg, i would love this deal

I would love this deal if it went down, but the Queens would never make a move that would improve us that much.

Was I the only person who saw Bonzi completely destroy SA in the playoffs this year? His D was fan-f'n-tastic.

Yeah, Bonzi doesn't seem like the type of player who needs to have a good offensive game to make an impact. His D is solid and if his offense isn't working for him, he just turns up his D.

I would rather have Hughes because he could start at point guard. He is a decent defender, good size and versitile. The negative is his contract and injury prone body.

He sucks in the Playoffs. With The Wizards and the Cavs. Bonzi punks Bowen so I will take him.

Bonzi is a SF in a SG body. Hughes is a SG in a PG body. Both could have roles in the triangle, but I think Hughes would be a better fit. Bonzi would occupy some of Kobe's touches in the post, though it would still work. Hughes would be a perfect triangle PG. Both Philly and GS tried him at the point, which didn't work because he doesn't have a PG mentality, but that would be ok with the Lakers offense, since Lamar, Luke and Kobe run the offense. Hughes is a very good on ball defender and quick enough to guard points. He is injury prone, but probably less at the 1 than the 2.
