Trading Bynum?

Would you do a trade with the hawks that brought in any ONE of the hawks SF's (Childress, Marvin, JSmoove) and Shelden Williams for Bynum?


I would be tempted to do that trade, in the offseason, after we re-sign Mihm. Then trade VladRad/Smush/Cook for a better PG

ATL SF/Luke
Odom/Turiaf/Williams
Kwame/Mihm/Williams

I´m only interested in Josh Smith but not for Bynum....

Bynum is untouchable unless we are talking about a Dwight Howard or Melo or something...

hell no...that players are average n i dont see them as a all stars...
but bynum has talent to become superstar...

I'd trade Bynum for Lebron. Lebron would be a nice 2nd option in LA.

Bynum is good, but Howard or Melo? You've got to be kidding me. I like Marvin, but we don't need another SF, although Marvin would be great IMO.

I'm starting to convince myself that brining Pau Gasol here would be the right thing to do, even if it gives up Bynum. Now, don't take this as an anti-Bynum thread; I love the kid and think he has a bright future, but consider this:

"A report from the Los Angeles Times says the Grizzlies have dropped the price of Pau Gasol as the franchise looks to trim payroll instead of find equal value for the player. "

And yes, I know that offering Bynum and our scrubs is enough even if contract shredding isn't the goal.

Gasol, Odom, Walton, Bryant, Farmar (Would be THE BEST passing team in the league)

Nah I would keep Bynum. He's our only actual low-post threat we have as of now. Two 6'8"-6'9" athletic forwards grow on trees, while players like Bynum don't.

Best passing team yes. But same problem, even worse. No defensive athletic point and no one to swat in the paint. At least we have Bynum to clog the middle and next year he will be even better and more mature.

Red Auerbach said it best; or words to this effect: "Ya never trade a good big man, espicially a young one." Although he traded JB Carroll's draft rights for Robert Parrish and draft rights to Kevin McHale.

Golden State must still feel the pain.

So I guess there is always an exception. Drew has way to much upside.

bynum is the future center.......no way they trade him

LO goes before AB. Our best ball was played sans LO with luke in the line up.

Now if you offer joeJohnson I would have to think about it. A back court of JJ and Kobe would be filthy

Doubt the lakers would trade him for anyone on the Atlanta Hawks (not even Joe Johnson) if they wouldn't let him for for Kidd it ain't happening unless it's for Garnett.

This kid has a bright future.

On the other hand I would sign and trade Smush for a bag of peanuts

BYNUM IS UNTOUCHABLE.

i dont think the hawks would trade bynum for jsmoove straight up. i would rather have childress than m williams. childress is a better defender and a more consistent outside shooter.

id say we improve a little bit, but still doesnt put us into title contention.

Why would Griz trade their lotto pick for Bynum, when it could be Durant or Oden?

thats not our problem....Bynum is not going anywhere unless a true star is coming back.

seriously what is all this hype about bynum? all he has right now is size. i dont see any signs of explosiveness or aggressiveness, things that generally can't just be learned. even if he does learn to use his body right - a superstar? really? use that "he's still basically a rookie" argument all you want - he's been in the league for 2 years now and been coached by arguably the greatest nba player to ever play and i don't see anything special. decent hook shoot, few dunks for his size, less defensively than kwame aside from a few blocks. at very most i see a borderline all-star player, at very most - but either way too far away to help kobe - the best chance we might ever have at success. i'd trade this iffy future potential for a proven all-star to help kobe. (in my dreams gasol)
