Why Don't The Lakers go after Maggette?

Since he is on the trade block, why not even try 2 get him? Since the clippers are lookin to get out of his contract, why not offer various packages including: Mihm, McKie, Sasha, Williams, any package and throw 2 first round picks. I think if somehow even if it happend can u imagine a backcourt with Maggette & Kobe? Then you'll hav Odom, Vlad & Bynum. That would be sick.

because he's over-rated, injury prone and the Clippers would never make a deal with us.

he wouldnt even start on the lakers. hes a good scorer and rebounder, but nothing else. bringing magettes skill sets would be redundant as we have the best scorer in the nba and a top 10 rebounder.

trades between Lakers and Clippersn won´t happen as easy as it looks.
Maggette is an injury prone player and doesn´t have the IQ for the triangle.
All he can do is slash to the hoop and go to the line.

He is an offensive foul , a bonehead play, a TO or a wild shot waiting to happen. pick your poison every night.

Its a bad PR move for the Clips to trade with the Lakers. So to trade a talent like Maggs for those scrubs would never happen.

Also, the main reason why...the Clipps were on the verge of landing ARTEST last year for Maggs. Both teams said yes, but when the results of Maggs foot came back, Indy had doubts, then Sactown came into the picture.

Therefore, if you can get Artest for Maggs, then by no means do you just trade Maggs for expirings. Maggs was the main reason they beat Phx on Saturday (I was at the game) and he just lit up the Suns- jumpshots, drives, FTs, hustle, you name it. The Clipps will trade Maggs, but it won't be for scraps- it will be for an All Star or All Star talent
