With Jamal going to Atlanta, how about Bibby?

With Jamal going to Atlanta, how about Bibby?

Do you want the Lakers to sign Mike Bibby? Do you think he would sign a small contract to play for a winner? Just Curious..There are going to be a lot of players on new teams and some free agents looking to find a new team because of it.

What free agents do you think will be left out in the cold with all the trades?

We need to increase depth. Our bench needs to get stronger or else we will lose against the magics now..........that they got vince carter for expiring...bag of cookies really.
Play Mbenga or this gets it!!!

I dont know if anyone plays fantasy basketball but on paper he catapults into the legendary stratosphere. He is an amazing passer, a good rebounding guard and he makes over 2 three pointers a game.. not to mention a pretty impressive playoff resume.

Bibby has started his entire career so I don't know how that would work with Fisher.. the good thing is both players seem very unselfish and I'm sure they both wouldn't mind coming off the bench for different reasons, Mike because he wants desperately to win a ring and Fisher because he knows he's on the downward spiral of his career and because he is a standup guy

bibby starts meaning fisher goes to the bench which improves our bench and shannon moves to SG

andrew/ gasol
gasol/ odom
ariza/ luke
kobe/ shannon
bibby/ fisher

thats good right there because fish can keep the 2nd unit in check

bibby isn't the fit we're looking for on this team.

^^^ how so? i think he would fit quite well, he handles the ball pretty well, and he's a good spot up shooter. that's all we would need him to do.

any player with talent would pretty much fit into a championship team.

look at marbury and the celtics.. here was a player who was really considered uncoachable and a proven loser. He didn't do that bad of a job coming off the bench

I'd gladly take bibby if we can get him for cheap, or find a way to get him and unload ammo

Bibby would be nice just because he can pass to the post. He's smart and having played in Adelman's Priceton offense I'm sure the triangle could be picked up quickly.

I think you can get Bibby for the MLE or less. MIke has been in the league for 11yrs and wants to win a ring. If he can't beat us why not join us!!! I do not see him as someone that would be high in demand, but he is younger that Fish and Kidd. He 31 a great passer, can hit from distance, will go to the basket and dish the ball. He also hates the Celtics!!!It would take pressure off of Fish and light a fire under Farmar. We need a point guard and I feel he can fit the triangle offense.

Actually hes right, Hes one of the reasons the celtics were able to stretch the ORL BOS, series to 7, or it may have been Chi. He had an awesome run in the 3rd or 4th quarter.

If we sign Mike Bibby it would be kind of interesting.. Eddie House his brother in Law decided to stay with the Celtics and it would be fun to have a family duel Lakers and Celtics. Mike could hit the three point basket to win the game against the Celtics!!!!!! :jam2:

we could trade them Farmar /Morrison for Bibby,

if they are going to lose Bibby anyway, then they might as well trade him for a PG with Finals experience
whose contract expires anyway if he is no good for them

I say we should trade Farmar/Ammo/Walton to Chicago for Hinrich/ Lindsay Hunter. Then sign Marion at MLE. woohoo 3 more rings.

The MLE is already gone to Artest and there is no way the Bulls will trade Hinrich now that Gordon is gone. Also Marion is a crybaby so no to him.

I don't think we can land Bibby. We already used the MLE on Artest and I think that is what Bibby will be looking for. If, and I think it is a very big if, he does not get an offer for the MLE from another team then maybe we can land him for the Bi-Annual Exp. But at that price he would have interest from CLE and BOS I think.

This makes alot of sense for both teams. We get a vet pg. they get a young pg and cap space...bibby gets a deal he likes, maybe 2-3 year deal at about 6-7 mil. sign me up. bibby/fish/shannon
