Would you trade for Delonte West??

Would you trade for Delonte West??

Postby tttttada on Tue Nov 28, 2006 8:11 am

I think he'd be a great fit.
He could shoot, pass, and one of the few defenders at the PG position.
He plays like a warrior, similar to Farmar. I know the Celtics like him,
but it might be possible as his stock is declining as of late.

How much would you give up for the kid??

Yes as long as the lakers don't trade big (Mihm not included) for small.

yes. Celtics don't need anything we have except probably Luke who they've been coveting for a while. I'm not so sure I d trade Luke for him.

Our trade baits will be:

1) Smush
2) Mihm (after he gets healthy)
3) Sasha
4) Cook

Seems they're in need of a big. Maybe Mihm, Cook, and Smush will do it??
Actually we'll throw in Sasha as well. Hell, even Williams. Give em all the
garbage :man9: :man1:

EDIT: Oh, I forgot McKie :man9:

They probably wouldn't need another SF with Wally and Gomes.
Their weakness is definitely at the PF and C postion.

Luke is a Laker forever, P Jacks won't let him go.

Gomes plays power forward. Wally is constantly hurt.

Luke is a keeper.
Ah, women. They make the highs higher and the lows more frequent.

Delonte is decent, but I'd rather sign Charlie Bell as a free agent. The guy barely makes more than Smush.

West can defend better than Smush, has a more consistent jumper, and is a FANTASTIC shotblocker for his size. He always seems to try on every play, something we can't about Smush. Knocks down free throws and shot a respectable 39% from downtown. He's be a MUCH better tri point than Smush. He's certainly out of the rotation right now in Boston; Telfair and Rondo are the PG's of the future there, and if his numbers are any indication, he's lost in his new role. He's on the books for next season with a QO for the next. Would they take an expiring for him and clear some space? It's possible.

OK OK, Let's trade Sasha and Mckie for that guy. :mhihi:

We'll even throw in Shamu.

I would love to see West here, he's a solid player.

There were whispers in the summer about a possible move for him, but they were never too prominent. West isn't really on the block, but with the Celtics struggling, he might be soon. It wouldn't take much to get him (read: salary cap relief and second round picks).

Only thing is why would those teams want Mihm and Cook for those high quality point guards? That is our problem and why we will probably not trade anyone this year, nobody wants our leftovers.
